3. Configuración

The DGS-1024D switch is designed for simple plug-and-play installation. No software configuration is required.

3.1 Instalación física

The switch can be placed on a desktop or mounted in a standard 19-inch equipment rack.

1. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the power input on the rear panel of the switch.

1. Connect Ethernet cables from your network devices (computers, printers, network-attached storage, routers, etc.) to any of the 24 RJ45 ports on the front panel of the DGS-1024D switch.
2. The switch supports Auto MDI/MDI-X, so you can use either straight-through or crossover Ethernet cables.
3. Each port features Auto-negotiation, automatically detecting the link speed (10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and duplex mode of the connected device for optimal performance.

The DGS-1024D incorporates D-Link Green Ethernet technology to optimize power consumption:

• Link Status Detection: Automatically reduces power to ports that are idle or not connected to a device.
• Cable Length Detection: Adjusts power usage based on the length of the connected Ethernet cable, consuming less power for shorter cables.
