3. Configuración

3.1. Instalación de baterías

1. Abra a tapa do compartimento da batería situada na parte inferior da cámara.
2. Insert two AA-size alkaline or fully charged NiMH rechargeable batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Peche a tapa do compartimento da batería firmemente ata que encaixe no seu lugar.

Nota: The camera uses AA batteries. For optimal performance and longer shooting times, consider using high-capacity NiMH rechargeable batteries.

3.2. Inserción dunha tarxeta de memoria

1. Abra a tapa da ranura da tarxeta de memoria, que normalmente se atopa no lateral ou na parte inferior da cámara.
2. Insert the SD or MultiMediaCard (MMC) into the slot with the label facing the correct direction, as indicated by the diagram near the slot. Push until it clicks into place.
3. Peche a tapa da ranura da tarxeta de memoria de forma segura.

Nota: The camera supports standard SD cards. SDHC or SDXC cards are not compatible. A 16MB MultiMediaCard is included, but a larger capacity SD card (up to 2GB recommended) is advised for extended shooting.

3.3. Colocación da correa de pulso

Thread the included wrist strap through the strap eyelet on the camera body and secure it. This helps prevent accidental drops.

4. Funcionamento da cámara

4.1. Acendido/apagado

Preme o POTENCIA botón para acender ou apagar a cámara. A lente estenderase ao acendela.

4.2. Fotografía básica (modo automático)

1. Establece o disco de modo en AUTO.
2. Frame your subject using the LCD monitor or optical viewbuscador
3. Press the shutter button halfway down to focus. The focus frame will illuminate green when focus is achieved.
4. Preme completamente o botón do obturador para sacar a foto.

4.3. Usando o zoom

Use the zoom lever located around the shutter button to adjust the focal length. Push towards W para gran angular (afastamento) e cara a T for telephoto (zooming in). The camera features a 4x optical zoom and a digital zoom function.

4.4. Modos de disparo

The PowerShot A530 offers various shooting modes for different scenarios. Rotate the mode dial to select:

• P (Program): Allows advanced exposure compensation while mostly automatic.
• Manual: Provides full control over ISO, exposure, and white balance.

4.5. Gravación de vídeos

Establece o disco de modo en Película mode. Press the shutter button to start and stop recording. The camera supports VGA (640 x 480) at 10 frames per second (fps) or QVGA (320 x 240) at 20 fps with sound. Compact Movie Mode (QQVGA 160 x 120 at 15 fps) is also available.

4.6. Reprodución de imaxes

Preme o XOGAR botón para view captured images and videos. Use the directional buttons to navigate through your media.

4.7. Conectando a un ordenador

Use the included USB Interface Cable (IFC-400PCU) to connect the camera to your computer. Press the Imprimir/Compartir button to initiate image transfer. Install the Digital Camera Solution CD-ROM software for full functionality.

4.8. Direct Printing

Connect the PowerShot A530 directly to a PictBridge-compatible printer (e.g., Canon CP, SELPHY, or PIXMA Photo Printer) using the USB cable. Press the illuminated Imprimir/Compartir button to print images directly from the camera.

5. Mantemento

5.1. Limpeza da cámara

5.2. Coidado da batería

• Retire as baterías cando non vaia usar a cámara durante un período prolongado.
• Almacene as baterías nun lugar fresco e seco.

5.3. Almacenamento

Store the camera in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a camera case to protect it from dust and scratches.
