Configuración

1. Identify Your Location & Measure Your Space

Determine where you intend to install the gate (doorway, hallway, top/bottom of stairs). Measure the width and height of the opening to ensure proper fit. This gate fits openings from 28.5 to 48 inches wide and is 36 inches tall (including the decorative arch).

2. Choose Your Installation Method

The gate supports two installation methods:

• Pressure Mounted: For doorways and hallways. No tools required for installation, uses adhesive wall cups to protect surfaces.
• Hardware Mounted: Required for top or bottom of stairs, or on banisters. Hardware kit is included. Tools required: drill, Phillips-head screwdriver, pencil, measuring tape (not included).

3. Assemble with Extensions (if needed)

Select the appropriate extension frames to fit your opening width. The gate can be configured for various widths:

• 29 in. - 32 in. (without extension frames)
• 32.5 in. - 36 in. (with one short extension frame)
• 36.5 in. - 40 in. (with one long extension frame)
• 40.5 in. - 44 in. (with one short and one long extension frame)
• 44.5 in. - 48 in. (with both short and long extension frames)

Operating the Gate

Opening the Gate

To open the gate, engage the latch mechanism and lift the door. The gate is designed for convenient one-hand operation for adults.

Closing and Auto-Close Feature

The gate features an auto-close mechanism. If the door is opened less than 90 degrees, it will automatically swing shut. If opened more than 90 degrees, it will stay open for convenient passage. A stopper prevents the door from swinging over the top of stairs when installed in that location.

Mantemento

To maintain your Ingenuity gate, regularly wipe down metal and plastic surfaces with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish. Periodically check all screws and tension mounts to ensure they remain tight and secure.

Resolución de problemas

• Gate appears bent or not square: This is normal before proper installation. The gate will appear square once fully installed and tightened.
• Gate not closing properly: Ensure all tension mounts are evenly tightened. The gate frame should be slightly compressed to allow the latch to engage smoothly.
• Gate feels loose: Re-tighten all pressure-mount bolts or hardware screws. If using pressure mounts, ensure wall cups are firmly in place.
