1. Introdución

The Universal Security Instruments MCND401 M Series Plug-In Carbon Monoxide and Natural Gas Alarm provides dual protection against two significant household threats: carbon monoxide (CO) and natural gas. This compact, plug-in device is designed for easy installation and features a digital display to show detected CO levels, along with LED indicators for power, CO, and natural gas status. It includes a 9-volt battery backup to ensure continuous operation during power outages.

2. Directrices de seguridade importantes

Please read and understand all instructions before installing and operating this alarm. Failure to do so may result in property damage, injury, or death. • Son de alarma: Four short beeps, followed by five seconds of silence, repeating.
  • LED CO: Parpadea en vermello.
  • Pantalla dixital: Shows the detected CO concentration in PPM.

What to Do When the CO Alarm Sounds:

  1. Immediately move to fresh air outdoors or open all doors and windows to ventilate the area.
  2. Call your emergency services (Fire Department or 911) and your gas supplier.
  3. Do not re-enter the premises until the alarm has stopped, the area has been aired out, and your emergency services have determined it is safe.

5.3 Natural Gas Alarm
