1. Introdución
The Audio-Technica ATM510 is a cardioid dynamic handheld microphone engineered for clear, natural vocal reproduction. Its cardioid polar pattern effectively reduces sound pickup from the sides and rear, enhancing isolation of the desired sound source and minimizing feedback. The microphone features a rare-earth magnet for improved output and transient response, and an internal shock mount designed to reduce handling and stage noise. Constructed with durable, all-metal components, the ATM510 ensures reliable performance in professional applications. The multi-layer grille provides excellent protection against plosives and sibilance without compromising high-frequency clarity.

3. Configuración
- Attach the Stand Clamp: Secure the AT8470 Quiet-Flex™ stand clamp to a microphone stand. If your stand has a 3/8"-16 thread, use the included threaded adapter.
- Montar o micrófono: Carefully insert the ATM510 microphone into the stand clamp. Ensure it is held securely.
- Conecte o cable: Connect a standard XLR (3-pin) microphone cable (not included) to the XLR output connector at the base of the microphone. Connect the other end of the cable to your mixer, audio interface, or other compatible audio equipment.
- Posicionamento: Position the microphone appropriately for your application. For vocal use, typically position the microphone directly in front of the sound source.

4. Instrucións de funcionamento
The ATM510 is a dynamic microphone and does not require phantom power for operation. Follow these guidelines for optimal performance:
- Colocación do micrófono: For vocals, hold or position the microphone 2-6 inches (5-15 cm) from the sound source. Experiment with distance to achieve the desired tone and to control proximity effect (increased bass response when close to the microphone).
- Patrón cardioide: The cardioid polar pattern is most sensitive to sounds directly in front of the microphone. Position unwanted sound sources (e.g., stage monitors, other instruments) to the sides or rear of the microphone to minimize their pickup.
- Gaña Staging: Adjust the gain on your mixer or audio interface to achieve a strong signal level without clipping (distortion).
- Ruído de manipulación: The internal shock mount reduces handling noise. However, avoid excessive movement or tapping on the microphone body during use.
5. Mantemento
- Limpeza: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microphone body. For the grille, a soft brush can be used to remove dust or debris. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents directly on the microphone.
- Almacenamento: When not in use, store the microphone in its protective pouch to prevent dust accumulation and physical damage.
- Condicións ambientais: Avoid exposing the microphone to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight for extended periods.
6 Solución de problemas
- Sen son:
- Ensure the XLR cable is securely connected at both the microphone and the audio equipment.
- Verify that the input channel on your mixer or interface is selected and its gain is turned up.
- Test with a different XLR cable to rule out cable failure.
- Low Output Level:
- Increase the gain on your mixer or audio interface.
- Ensure the microphone is positioned close enough to the sound source.
- Son distorsionado:
- Reduce the gain on your mixer or audio interface to prevent clipping.
- Asegúrate de que o micrófono non estea sobrecargado por fontes de son excesivamente altas.
- Excessive Feedback:
- Reposition the microphone to point away from loudspeakers or monitors.
- Reduce the gain on the input channel.
- Utilize an equalizer to cut problematic frequencies.
