  1. Release the leg locks and extend the tripod legs fully.
  2. Adjust the leg angles by pulling out the angle stops located at the top of each leg, near the center column. Select your desired angle and push the stop back into place to lock.
  3. Extend each leg section by twisting the twist locks counter-clockwise to loosen, pulling the section out, and then twisting clockwise to tighten securely. Repeat for all sections.

4.2. Attaching the Ball Head

The IB0 ball head is typically pre-attached. If not, ensure the mounting screw on the tripod's center column is aligned with the threaded hole on the base of the ball head. Rotate the ball head clockwise until it is firmly secured. Do not overtighten.

4.3. Conexión da cámara

  1. Locate the quick release plate. Use a coin or the provided tool to attach it securely to the bottom of your camera's tripod mount. Ensure the plate is oriented correctly and tightened firmly to prevent rotation.
  2. On the IB0 ball head, loosen the quick release plate clamp botón.
  3. Deslice a cámara coa placa de liberación rápida incorporada no clamp. Ensure it is fully seated.
  4. Tighten the quick release plate clamp knob firmly to secure the camera. Always double-check that the camera is locked in place before letting go.

5. Funcionamento do trípode

5.1. Adjusting Leg Angles

Each leg features an angle adjustment mechanism. Pull out the angle stop, position the leg to one of the predefined angles (e.g., normal, wide, extra-wide), and push the stop back in to lock. This allows for stable positioning on uneven terrain or for low-angle shots.

5.2. Extending the Center Column

To increase the tripod's height, loosen the center column lock knob (usually located below the ball head). Carefully extend the center column to the desired height and then tighten the lock knob firmly. For added stability, avoid extending the center column unnecessarily, especially with heavy equipment.

The center column also features a hook at its base, allowing you to hang a weight (e.g., your camera bag) for increased stability in windy conditions.

5.3. Using the IB0 Ball Head

Image 5.1: The IB0 ball head with its control knobs.

  • Main Lock Knob: This large knob controls the movement of the ball. Loosen it to adjust your camera's angle freely (pan, tilt, and rotate). Tighten it firmly to lock the camera in position.
  • Friction Control Knob: Often integrated with the main lock knob or a separate smaller knob, this allows you to set the tension of the ball movement. Adjusting friction helps prevent the camera from flopping when the main lock is loosened, especially with heavier lenses.
  • Pan Lock Knob: This knob locks or unlocks the panning base, allowing the camera to rotate horizontally 360 degrees without affecting the tilt.
  • Orientación do retrato: The ball head features a drop notch, allowing you to quickly switch your camera to a vertical (portrait) orientation. Loosen the main lock knob, tilt the camera into the notch, and then re-tighten.

5.4. Conversión de monopé

One of the tripod legs (typically the one with a foam grip) can be detached and combined with the center column to form a monopod.

  1. Unscrew the designated leg from the tripod spider (the central hub where the legs attach).
  2. Unscrew the center column from the tripod spider.
  3. Screw the detached leg onto the bottom of the center column.
  4. You now have a monopod. You can attach the IB0 ball head to the top of the center column for camera mounting.

6. Mantemento

  • Limpeza: After use, especially in dusty, sandy, or wet conditions, wipe down the tripod with a soft, damp cloth. Ensure all leg sections and locking mechanisms are free of debris. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Lubricación: Moving parts generally do not require lubrication. If any part becomes stiff, consult Benro support before applying any lubricants.
  • Almacenamento: Garde o trípode na súa bolsa de transporte nun lugar fresco e seco, lonxe da luz solar directa e de temperaturas extremas.
  • Inspección: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and locking mechanisms for tightness. Use the provided Allen wrenches to tighten any loose components.
