1. Introdución

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Technical Precision replacement battery pack for the TAYLOR-DUNN B-100 Electric Personnel Carrier. This pack includes six (6) individual battery units designed to meet the power requirements of your vehicle. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation to ensure proper performance and longevity of the batteries.

4. Configuración e instalación

Before beginning installation, ensure the personnel carrier is turned off and disconnected from any power source. Refer to your TAYLOR-DUNN B-100 vehicle's service manual for specific battery compartment access and wiring diagrams.

1. Preparación: Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface, powered off, and the parking brake is engaged. Gather necessary tools (e.g., wrench, terminal cleaner).
2. Eliminar baterías antigas: Carefully disconnect the negative (-) terminal first, then the positive (+) terminal from each old battery. Note the wiring configuration. Remove the old batteries from the compartment.
3. Clean Compartment: Clean the battery compartment thoroughly, removing any debris or corrosion.
4. Instalar pilas novas: Place the new Technical Precision battery units into the compartment, ensuring they are securely seated and oriented correctly according to the vehicle's design.
5. Conectar terminais: Connect the positive (+) terminal first, then the negative (-) terminal for each battery, following the vehicle's wiring diagram. Ensure all connections are tight and secure. Apply anti-corrosion grease to terminals if desired.

5.1 Carga

• Always use a charger compatible with lead-acid batteries and the voltage requirements of your TAYLOR-DUNN B-100.
• Ensure the charger is properly connected to the vehicle's charging port.

• Battery Top Cleaning: Keep the top of the batteries clean and dry to prevent current leakage and corrosion.
• Almacenamento: If the vehicle will be stored for an extended period, ensure the batteries are fully charged before storage. Store in a cool, dry place. Periodically check the charge level and recharge if necessary (every 1-3 months) to prevent self-discharge.
