3. Configuración e instalación

3.1 Instalación da batería

1. Asegúrate de que o walkie-talkie estea apagado.
2. Localice a tapa do compartimento da batería na parte traseira da unidade.
3. Deslice a tapa cara abaixo ou solte o clip para abrila.
4. Insert the 2000 mAh Li-ion battery pack, ensuring the contacts align correctly with the terminals inside the compartment.

3.2 Carga da batería

The SOCOTRAN T80 uses a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Charge the battery fully before first use.

1. Connect the charger adapter to a power outlet.
2. Connect the charger adapter to the desktop charger.
3. Place the walkie talkie into the desktop charger, ensuring it sits securely and the charging indicator light illuminates. Alternatively, you can charge the battery alone using the charging buckle on the desktop charger.
4. A full charge typically takes several hours. The charging indicator will change color or turn off when charging is complete.

3.3 Instalación de accesorios

4.1 Acendido/apagado e axuste do volume

• Para acender, xire o Power Switch/Volume Adjust knob (7) clockwise until you hear a click.

4.2 Selección de canles

• Preme o MENÚ button (10) to enter the menu.

• Preme MENÚ again to confirm selection, then use the Seleccione Chaves to choose one of the 8 available channels.
• Preme MENÚ to save and exit, or wait for the menu to time out.

4.3 Códigos de privacidade (CTCSS/DCS)

The T80 supports 99 privacy codes (38 CTCSS and 61 DCS) to minimize interference from other users on the same channel.

• Preme o MENÚ button (10) to enter the menu.
• Usa o Seleccione Chaves (5) to navigate to the CTCSS or DCS setting.
• Preme MENÚ again, then use the Seleccione Chaves to choose the desired privacy code.
• Preme MENÚ to save and exit. Both radios must be set to the same channel and privacy code to communicate.

4.4 Transmisión e recepción

• Para transmitir, manteña premido o botón Botón PTT (2) on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone (12).

VOX allows for hands-free communication. When activated, the radio will transmit automatically when it detects your voice.

• Preme o MENÚ button (10) to enter the menu.

• Preme MENÚ again, then use the Seleccione Chaves to set the VOX sensitivity level (0-3, where 3 is most sensitive).
