Figure 1: Complete Gre SCGPHP100 system including the main control unit, electrolysis cell, pH probe, and calibration solutions.

Características principais:

  • Integrated Disinfection: Salt electrolysis system produces natural chlorine from salt, eliminating the need for chemical chlorine.
  • pH Control: Built-in pH controller with an automatic dosing pump maintains optimal pH levels in your pool water.
  • Alta capacidade: Capable of producing 21 g/h of chlorine, suitable for pools up to 100 m³.
  • Comodidade mellorada: Natural chlorine production reduces odors and eye irritation commonly associated with chemical chlorine.
  • Chemical-Free Handling: Minimizes the storage and handling of hazardous pool chemicals.

2. Información de seguridade

Read all instructions carefully before installation and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the equipment.

  • Desconecte sempre a alimentación antes de realizar calquera mantemento ou servizo.
  • Asegurar a correcta conexión a terra eléctrica.
  • Consult a qualified electrician or pool professional for installation if unsure.

3. Instalación e configuración

3.1. Desembalaxe e inspección

Retire con coidado todos os compoñentes da embalaxe. Comprobe que todas as pezas estean presentes e sen danos. Consulte a lista de embalaxe para obter un inventario completo.

3.2. System Placement

Install the main control unit in a dry, well-ventilated area, protected from direct weather exposure. The unit should be mounted vertically on a wall or sturdy surface near the pool's filtration system.

3.3. Conexións de fontanería

  1. Electrolysis Cell: Install the electrolysis cell (salt cell) in the return line of your pool's filtration system, after the filter and heater (if applicable). Ensure the flow direction arrow on the cell matches the water flow.
  2. Gre SCGPHP100 electrolysis cell

  3. Sonda de pH: Install the pH probe in a dedicated probe holder or a suitable location in the plumbing line where water flow is consistent.
  4. Gre SCGPHP100 pH probe

  5. Dosing Pump: Connect the suction tube of the dosing pump to a container of pH-reducing liquid (e.g., liquid acid). Connect the injection tube to an injection point in the pool's return line, typically after the electrolysis cell.
  6. Close-up of the dosing pump on the Gre SCGPHP100 unit

3.4. Conexións Eléctricas

Connect the main control unit to a dedicated, grounded electrical outlet. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes. Connect the electrolysis cell and pH probe cables to their respective ports on the main unit.

3.5. Initial Pool Water Preparation

  • Add Salt: Add pool-grade salt to your pool water to achieve a concentration of 4 g/l (grams per liter). Circulate the water until the salt is fully dissolved.
  • Balance Water Chemistry: Before starting the system, ensure your pool's alkalinity and calcium hardness are within recommended ranges.

4. Instrucións de funcionamento

4.1. Acendido

Once all connections are made and the pool water is prepared, switch on the power to the unit. The display will illuminate, showing the current pH reading.

4.2. pH Probe Calibration

For accurate pH readings, calibrate the pH probe regularly (e.g., monthly or after long periods of inactivity). Use the provided calibration solutions (pH 7.0 and pH 4.0).

Figure 6: pH 7.0 and pH 4.0 calibration solutions.

  1. Rinse the pH probe with distilled water.
  2. Immerse the probe in the pH 7.0 solution. Press the "CAL" button and follow the on-screen prompts until calibration is complete.
  3. Rinse the probe again.
  4. Immerse the probe in the pH 4.0 solution. Press the "CAL" button and follow the on-screen prompts until calibration is complete.
  5. Return the probe to its holder in the plumbing line.

4.3. Setting pH Target

Use the "SET" button to adjust the desired pH target level (typically between 7.2 and 7.6 for pools). The system will automatically dose pH-reducing liquid to maintain this level.

4.4. Adjusting Chlorine Production

The unit features a "Power selector" to adjust the chlorine production level (e.g., 0%, 50%, 75%, 100%). Start with a moderate setting and adjust based on pool usage and chlorine demand. The "SALT" indicator will illuminate if salt levels are too low.

5.1. Electrolysis Cell Cleaning

The electrolysis cell may accumulate scale deposits over time, especially in hard water areas. Inspect the cell regularly (e.g., monthly) and clean as needed.

Figura 7: En ángulo view of the electrolysis cell, showing the internal plates.

  1. Turn off the system and close all valves to isolate the cell.
  2. Remove the cell from the plumbing.
  3. Soak the cell in a diluted acid solution (e.g., 1 part muriatic acid to 4 parts water) for no more than 15 minutes, or until deposits dissolve. Use o equipo de seguridade axeitado.
  4. Enxágüe ben con auga limpa antes de reinstalalo.

5.2. pH Probe Maintenance

  • Keep the pH probe tip moist when not in use, preferably in a storage solution or pH 7.0 buffer.
  • Clean the probe tip gently with a soft brush if deposits are visible.
  • Recalibrate the probe regularly as described in Section 4.2.

5.3. Salt Level Monitoring

Regularly check your pool's salt concentration using a salt test kit. Maintain a level of 4 g/l for optimal system performance. Add salt as needed.
