4. Instalación

This door knob is designed for easy installation. A long No.2 Phillips screwdriver is typically the only tool required.

Important Pre-Installation Steps:

• Remove Preinstalled Screws: The machine screws come preinstalled in the handle. Remove them before starting the installation process.
• Keyhole Orientation: During installation, ensure the keyhole on the exterior knob is oriented correctly (key in the 'as shown' position) to prevent the key from getting stuck.
• Lock Tailpiece Alignment: Make sure the lock tailpiece and the thumb-turn knob are at the same level. Insert the lock tailpiece into the slot behind the thumb-turn knob.

5. Funcionamento

The keyed entry door knob provides security and privacy for your door.

Bloqueo e desbloqueo:

• Desde o exterior: Insert one of the provided keys into the keyhole and turn to lock or unlock the mechanism.
• Desde o interior: Use the thumb-turn button on the interior knob to lock or unlock the door.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your door knob.

• Limpeza: Wipe the knob with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the matte black finish.
• Lubricación: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the keyhole and latch mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
