Configuración

Powering the Unit (Battery Installation)

The Walkabout II operates on two (2) "AA" batteries (included). An AC power adapter (not included) can also be used.

  3. Insert two "AA" batteries, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.

The detachable belt clip allows for convenient portability.

  1. Align the belt clip with the designated slots on the back of the unit.
  2. Slide the clip firmly into place until it clicks, securing it to the player.
  3. To remove, press the release tab (if present) and slide the clip off.

  1. Ensure the unit is powered on (batteries inserted or AC adapter connected).
  2. Abra a porta do compartimento da casete.
  3. Insert a cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards.
  4. Close the cassette compartment door firmly.
  5. Set the Function Switch to "TAPE".

Recording to Cassette Tape

The Walkabout II supports recording from the built-in microphone, an external microphone (via Mic Jack), or directly from the AM/FM radio.

  1. Insert a blank or recordable cassette tape into the compartment.
  2. To record from Built-in Microphone: Set the Function Switch to "TAPE". Press the RECORDAR button (usually combined with PLAY, often red). Speak clearly into the built-in microphone.
  3. To record from External Microphone: Conecte un micrófono externo ao JACK DE MICROFONO. Set the Function Switch to "TAPE". Press the RECORDAR botón.
  4. To record from Radio: Set the Function Switch to "FM" or "AM" and tune to your desired station. Then, press the RECORDAR button. The unit will automatically switch to record mode from the radio source.

Nota: Ensure the cassette tape has its record protection tabs intact if you wish to record over existing content. If the tabs are broken, the tape cannot be recorded on.

Usando auriculares

For private listening, connect the included stereo earphones (or any standard 3.5mm headphones) to the JACK DE AURICULARES. The built-in speaker will automatically mute when earphones are connected.

Almacenamento

When not in use for extended periods, store the unit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries to prevent leakage.

Resolución de problemas

Cannot record on tape. Record protection tab is broken. Function switch not set to TAPE for mic recording. Cover the broken record protection tab with adhesive tape. Ensure function switch is on TAPE for microphone recording or on AM/FM for radio recording.
