5. Instalación

Proper installation is crucial for the performance and safety of your range hood. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.

5.1. Lista de verificación previa á instalación

• Ensure the installation area is clear of obstructions and electrical wiring.
• Verify that the wall structure can support the weight of the range hood.
• Confirm that the electrical supply matches the hood's requirements (120 Volts).
• Maintain a minimum distance of 75 cm (approximately 29.5 inches) between the cooking surface and the bottom of the range hood for optimal performance and safety.
• Ensure the range hood is centered above your cooking zone.

5.2. Pasos xerais de instalación

1. Marcar puntos de montaxe: Using a pencil and a measuring tape, mark the desired location for the range hood on the wall, ensuring it is level and centered above the cooking area. Refer to the dimensions diagram for precise measurements.
2. Perforación: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations for the mounting hardware. Use a drill bit appropriate for your wall material and the provided wall anchors.

4. Mount the Hood: Secure the range hood to the wall using the provided mounting screws. Ensure it is firmly attached and level.

6. Instrucións de funcionamento

Your Mabe range hood features simple push-button controls located on the front panel.

• Botón de encendido: Prema para acender ou apagar a campá extractora.
• Botóns de velocidade do ventilador: Select from three fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) to adjust the extraction power according to your cooking needs.
• Botón de luz: Press to turn the incandescent cooking surface lights on or off.

It is recommended to turn on the range hood a few minutes before cooking to establish an airflow and leave it on for a few minutes after cooking to clear any lingering odors.

7. Mantemento e Limpeza

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your range hood.

7.1. Limpeza exterior

Clean the exterior surfaces of the range hood regularly with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. For stainless steel surfaces, use a stainless steel cleaner and wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent scratches and maintain its luster. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.

7.2. Limpeza do filtro de graxa

The metal grease filters should be cleaned frequently, ideally every 3-4 weeks depending on cooking habits. They can be washed by hand with hot water and a mild detergent or in a dishwasher.

2. Locate the release latches on the filters and gently pull them down to remove the filters.
3. Wash the filters thoroughly. Allow them to dry completely before re-installing.
4. Re-insert the filters by aligning them with the slots and pushing them up until they click into place.

7.3. Activated Carbon Filter Replacement

If your range hood is used in recirculation mode (without external ducting), the activated carbon filters (not included, purchased separately) need to be replaced periodically, typically every 3-6 months, as they cannot be washed. Refer to the carbon filter manufacturer's instructions for specific replacement intervals.
