1. Introdución

4. Configuración

4.1 Uso inicial

The Ruffpad 12E comes ready for use. Simply remove the digital pen from its dock. The device is powered by a button cell battery, primarily used for the erase function. No initial charging or complex setup is required.

4.2 Stylus Placement

The digital pen can be stored in the integrated stylus dock at the top of the pad when not in use.

5. Funcionamento

5.1 Escritura e debuxo

Use the provided digital pen to write or draw directly on the LCD screen. The display is pressure-sensitive, allowing for variations in line thickness based on how firmly you press the stylus.

5.2 ErasinContido g

To clear the entire screen, press the erase button located at the bottom center of the pad. This action will instantly remove all content from the display.

5.3 Función de bloqueo

The Ruffpad 12E includes an anti-erase lock switch on the back of the device. Slide this switch to the 'Lock' position to prevent accidental erasure of your content. To erase, slide the switch back to the 'Unlock' position before pressing the erase button.

5.4 Using the Ruffpad App (Optional)

The Ruffpad app, available for Android and iOS, allows you to capture images of your creations on the Ruffpad 12E using your smartphone camera. You can then name and save these images within the app for later viewing or sharing. Note that the app does not directly sync content from the pad but rather facilitates digital archiving via photo capture.

6. Mantemento

6.1 Limpeza

To clean the Ruffpad 12E, gently wipe the screen and body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the screen or internal components.

6.2 Substitución da batería

The Ruffpad 12E uses a button cell battery (CR2025 or equivalent) which powers the erase function. If the erase function stops working, the battery may need replacement. To replace the battery, locate the battery compartment on the back of the device, open it, and insert a new battery with the correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.

7 Solución de problemas

7.1 Screen Not Erasing

• Check the lock switch on the back of the pad. Ensure it is in the 'Unlock' position.
• The battery may be depleted. Replace the button cell battery (CR2025) as described in Section 6.2.

7.2 Writing Not Appearing Clearly

• Ensure you are using the provided digital pen. Other objects may not register correctly or could damage the screen.
• Apply consistent pressure with the stylus.

7.3 Ruffpad App Issues

• Ensure your smartphone's camera has sufficient lighting to capture a clear image of the pad's display.
• Verify that the app has necessary permissions (e.g., camera, storage) on your smartphone.
• The app's primary function is to take photos of your drawings, not to directly transfer digital data from the pad.
