The SUNLU Filament Dryer S2 is an essential accessory for FDM 3D printers, designed to significantly improve 3D printing results by removing excess moisture from filaments. Filaments, especially when stored in humid environments or for extended periods, absorb moisture from the air. This moisture can lead to various printing issues such as clogging, stringing, brittleness, cracking, bubbling, poor adhesion, and layer shifts.

This filament dryer effectively removes moisture, restoring damp filaments to optimal condition. It can also function as a filament spool holder, allowing for continuous drying during the printing process, which is particularly beneficial in humid conditions.

Configuración

Desempaquetar o dispositivo: Carefully remove the filament dryer and all accessories from the packaging.
Colocar a secadora: Position the dryer on a stable, flat surface near your 3D printer if you intend to print directly from it.
Insert Filament Spool: Open the lid and place your filament spool inside the dryer. Ensure the filament unwinds smoothly.
Route Filament (if printing directly): Locate the filament outlet hole on the dryer. Pull the filament through this hole. This allows the filament to be fed directly to your 3D printer while drying.
Conectar enerxía: Find the power connector on the device and plug in the provided power adapter. Then, plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.

Instrucións de funcionamento

Activar/Desactivar:

To turn on the dryer, double-click the power button on the touch screen.
To turn off the dryer, double-click the power button again.

Axuste de temperatura e tempo:

The dryer allows customization of drying temperature and time to suit different filament types.

Rango de temperatura: 35 °C a 70 °C.
Rango de tempo: 0 a 99 horas.
Use the "SET" button to navigate through the settings menu.
Use the up and down arrow buttons to adjust values for temperature and time.
The large LCD touch screen provides real-time display of present value (PV), setting value (SV), remaining time, and material type.

Mantemento

Limpeza: Before cleaning, ensure the device is unplugged and completely cooled down. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
Almacenamento: When not in use for extended periods, store the dryer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity.
Inspección periódica: Periodically check the power cord for any damage. Ensure the filament path is clear of debris.

Resolución de problemas

Problema	Causa posible	Solución
O dispositivo non se acende.	Power adapter not connected properly; power outlet issue.	Ensure power adapter is securely plugged into the device and a working power outlet. Double-check the power button operation (double-click to turn on).
Filament still damp despois do secado.	Incorrect temperature/time settings; extremely damp filament.	Increase drying time or temperature according to filament type (refer to Figure 5). For very damp filament, multiple drying cycles may be needed. Ensure the lid is properly closed.
Device tips over when feeding filament.	Unstable placement; excessive tension on filament.	Ensure the dryer is on a stable, level surface. Minimize tension on the filament being pulled from the dryer. Consider placing the dryer at a lower height relative to the printer.
Display not showing correct humidity.	Sensor calibration; environmental factors.	The built-in hygrometer provides an indication. For precise measurements, an external hygrometer may be used. Continue drying based on recommended times for filament type.
