Configuración

1. Initial Battery Connection

The Eton Quest comes with a pre-installed rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Before first use, ensure the battery is properly connected. Open the battery compartment cover, typically located on the back or side, and connect the battery if it is not already. The battery is user-replaceable but may require specific tools or knowledge for safe replacement due to its soldered connections.

Ensure the radio is set to the correct weather band for your region.

5. Conectividade Bluetooth

To use the radio as a Bluetooth speaker, press the BAND/BLUETOOTH button until "BT" appears on the display. On your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device, search for "Eton Quest" and pair. You can then stream audio wirelessly.

Connect an external audio device using a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the AUX-in jack. Select the AUX mode using the BAND/BLUETOOTH botón.

1. Hand Crank Power

Extend the hand crank handle located on the front of the radio. Rotate the handle clockwise or counter-clockwise at a steady pace to generate power. A red indicator light may illuminate to show power generation. Continuous cranking will charge the internal battery and power the radio functions.

Place the radio with the solar panel (located on the top) facing direct sunlight. The solar panel will slowly charge the internal battery. This method is ideal for maintaining charge over extended periods or for trickle charging.

3. Internal Rechargeable Battery

The radio is equipped with a 5200 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This battery powers all functions and is charged via the hand crank, solar panel, or USB-C input.

4. Optional AAA Alkaline Batteries

For additional backup power, the radio supports 3 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). Insert them into the designated compartment, ensuring correct polarity. Note that the radio's internal clock may reset if the main power switch is off and the internal battery is disconnected, but FM presets and Bluetooth pairing should remain.

1. Linterna LED

Preme o Luz button (usually on the top or side) to activate the super bright LED flashlight. Press again to cycle through light modes or turn off.

2. Ambient Light Panel

The large panel on the back of the radio provides ambient lighting. Press the Luz button to switch between white and red ambient light modes. The red light can be useful for preserving night vision or as a warning signal.

3. Alarma SOS

Activate the integrated SOS alarm by pressing the dedicated SOS ON/OFF button. This will trigger a loud siren and flash the red ambient light, signaling for help. Press again to deactivate.

The Eton Quest can act as a power bank to charge your mobile devices. Connect your smartphone or other USB-powered device to the USB-A output port on the side of the radio using your device's charging cable. Ensure the radio has sufficient charge or is actively being charged via hand crank or solar to provide power.

Mantemento
