The RAINPOINT WiFi Water Timer and Smart Hose Timer with integrated Wi-Fi Weather Station Hub offers an advanced solution for garden irrigation. This system allows for smart, usage-based, and soil moisture-based watering, providing remote control and enhanced weather awareness. The kit includes a Wi-Fi Weather Station Hub that also functions as a real-time internet weather forecaster, indoor/outdoor thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer, tracking environmental data every 3 minutes. The smart water timer supports two watering modes (Irrigation & Mist) and up to six separate watering programs with customizable start times, frequency, and duration. A built-in flow sensor provides real-time push notifications for water cut-offs, leaks, or valve failures, helping to track water usage and save resources. The system is controlled via the HomGar App (not compatible with RainPoint App) and is compatible with 2.4Ghz routers.

Instalación da aplicación

The RAINPOINT Smart Watering System is controlled via the HomGar App. Ensure your router operates on a 2.4Ghz band for compatibility.

1. Download the HomGar App from your device's app store.
2. Busca "HomGar" in the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).
3. Alternatively, scan the QR codes provided in the quick start guide or on the product packaging.

Hardware Installation & Pairing

1. Install Batteries in Water Timer: Open the battery compartment on the water timer. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (positive, negative, positive, negative). Close the compartment securely.
2. Connect Water Timer to Faucet: Apply Teflon tape to the threads of your outdoor faucet. Screw the water timer onto the faucet, ensuring a secure, leak-free connection. Position the timer so the screen is easily visible.
3. Mangueira de conexión: Attach your garden hose to the bottom outlet of the water timer.
4. Plug in Wi-Fi Weather Station Hub: Plug the Wi-Fi Weather Station Hub into an indoor power outlet near your Wi-Fi router. The hub must remain powered for continuous operation.
5. Pair Devices with App:
   • In the HomGar App, navigate to 'Add Device'.
   • Select the 'Weather Station Hub' option and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network.
   • Once the hub is connected, select 'Add Device' again and choose the '1-Zone Water Timer' (or relevant timer model).
   • Follow the app's instructions to pair the water timer with the hub.

Operating Your RAINPOINT Smart Watering System

Watering Modes

The smart water timer supports two primary watering modes:

You can set up to 6 separate watering programs with customized settings:

• Water Records: Access daily and monthly water usage data.
• Alertas: Receive push notifications for water cut-offs, pipe leaks, clogs, or valve failures.

To prevent overwatering during rainy periods, you can activate the Rain Delay feature via the app. This will pause scheduled watering for a specified duration (24, 48, or 72 hours).

• Substitución da batería: The water timer requires 4 AA batteries. Replace them as needed to ensure continuous operation. The hub is powered by a wall adapter and does not require batteries.
• Invernización: During freezing temperatures, it is highly recommended to disconnect the water timer from the faucet and bring it indoors to prevent damage.
• Limpeza: Periodically check and clean the screen filter in the timer's inlet to prevent debris from affecting water flow.

• Problemas de conexión wifi: Ensure your router is set to 2.4Ghz. The HomGar Series is only compatible with the HomGar App, not the RainPoint App.
• Hub Display Not Showing Timer Functions: The Wi-Fi Weather Station Hub primarily displays weather and environmental data. Timer control and detailed status (on/off, battery, water usage) are managed through the HomGar App on your smartphone.
• Lecturas inexactas do sensor: If the outdoor sensor or soil sensor (if purchased separately) provides inaccurate readings, ensure proper placement and check for any obstructions. Note that the outdoor sensor is not fully waterproof and should be deployed away from direct rain and sun.
• Fugas de auga: Ensure all connections (faucet to timer, timer to hose) are tight and properly sealed with Teflon tape and gaskets.
