1. Introdución

Thank you for choosing the ECD Germany 43L Electronic Safe. This safe is designed to provide secure storage for your valuables, including cash, jewelry, documents, and other important items. It features a robust steel construction, an electronic keypad for PIN access, and a traditional key override for emergency situations. 2. Instrucións de seguridade

• Do not store emergency keys inside the safe. Always keep the emergency keys in a secure location outside the safe, accessible only to authorized individuals.
• Keep your PIN confidential. Do not share your personal identification number (PIN) with unauthorized persons.
• Evite expoñer a caixa forte a temperaturas ou humidade extremas. This can damage the electronic components and affect the safe's functionality.

4. Configuración e instalación

4.1 Instalación da batería

1. Localiza o compartimento das baterías na parte interior da porta da caixa forte.
2. Abra a tapa do compartimento da batería.
3. Insira 4 pilas AA, asegurándose de polaridade correcta (+/-).
4. Pecha a tapa do compartimento da batería.

4.2 Configuración inicial do PIN

Upon first use, or after battery replacement, you will need to set your personal PIN.

1. With the safe door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door, near the hinge.
2. Press the red reset button. You will hear a beep, and the yellow indicator light on the keypad will illuminate.
3. Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3 to 8 digit PIN on the keypad.
4. Confirm your PIN by pressing the "#" button. You will hear a confirmation beep.
5. Test the new PIN with the door open to ensure it works correctly before closing the safe.

4.3 Montaxe da caixa forte

For enhanced security, it is highly recommended to mount the safe to a wall or floor using the provided bolt anchors.

1. Choose a suitable location for mounting, such as a solid wall or floor.
2. Identify the pre-drilled holes on the back and bottom of the safe.
3. Position the safe and mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes.

6. Tighten the bolt anchors securely to fasten the safe in place.

5. Instrucións de funcionamento

5.1 Opening the Safe with PIN

1. Enter your 3 to 8 digit PIN on the keypad.
2. Press the "#" button. The green indicator light will illuminate.
3. Dentro de 5 segundos, xire o pomo no sentido das agullas do reloxo para abrir a porta da caixa forte.

5.2 Opening the Safe with Emergency Key

The emergency key provides access if you forget your PIN or if the batteries are depleted.

1. Locate the concealed keyhole, usually behind the ECD Germany logo plate or a removable cover on the keypad.

3. While holding the key turned, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
4. Remove the key once the door is open.

5.3 Changing the PIN

You can change your PIN at any time while the safe door is open.

1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button on the inside of the door.
2. The yellow indicator light will illuminate.
3. Enter your new 3 to 8 digit PIN.
4. Confirm your new PIN by pressing the "#" button.
5. Test the new PIN with the door open before closing.

6. Mantemento

6.1 Substitución da batería

When the batteries are low, the red indicator light on the keypad may flash or the safe may not respond. Replace all 4 AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

1. Open the safe using your PIN or the emergency key.
2. Locate and open the battery compartment on the inside of the door.
3. Retira as pilas antigas e eliminalas de forma responsable.
4. Insert 4 new AA batteries, observing correct polarity.

6.2 Limpeza

Limpar o exterior da caixa forte cun pano suave eamp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the powder-coated finish.

6.3 Internal Protection

The safe includes a protective felt mat on the inside to prevent scratches and damage to your valuables. Ensure this mat is properly placed. The removable intermediate shelf can be adjusted or removed to accommodate items of various sizes.

7 Solución de problemas

• Safe does not open with PIN:
  - Ensure you are entering the correct PIN. Try again carefully.
  - Check if the batteries are low. Replace them if necessary.
  - Use the emergency key to open the safe.
• O teclado non responde:
  - Replace the batteries with new ones.
  - Ensure the battery compartment is closed securely.
• A porta non pecha correctamente:
  - Check for any obstructions preventing the door from closing fully.
  - Ensure the locking bolts are retracted before attempting to close.
• PIN esquecido:
  - Use the emergency key to open the safe.
  - Once open, reset the PIN using the red reset button as described in Section 4.2.
