Assembly is required for this Murphy bed. Clear instructions and necessary tools are provided. Due to the size and weight of the components (total item weight is 287 pounds), it is strongly recommended that at least two adults perform the assembly. The process can be time-consuming, potentially requiring several hours or even days to complete properly.

Critical Step: Wall Mounting

The Murphy bed must be securely mounted to a wall stud to ensure stability and prevent tipping. Failure to properly anchor the unit to the wall can result in serious injury or property damage. Identify suitable wall studs using a stud finder before beginning the mounting process.

4. Funcionamento

This section details the proper use of your Merax Murphy Bed.

4.1. Folding and Unfolding the Bed

1. Para desplegar: Gently pull on the handles located on the front panel of the cabinet. The bed frame will begin to lower. Guide the bed frame down until the support legs fully extend and rest on the floor. Ensure the support legs are stable before applying weight to the bed.
2. Para dobrar: Remove all bedding and the mattress (if it exceeds 8 inches in thickness). Lift the bed frame from the foot end, guiding it upwards. The dual-piston metal folding mechanism will assist in lifting. As the bed approaches the vertical position, the support legs will retract. Push the bed frame fully into the cabinet until it latches securely.

Importante: A mattress with a maximum thickness of 8 inches can be folded into the cabinet. Thicker mattresses may prevent the bed from closing properly or damage the mechanism.

4.2. Using Shelves and Drawers

The integrated shelves and drawers provide storage for various items. Ensure items placed on shelves or in drawers do not obstruct the bed's folding or unfolding mechanism. Avoid placing heavy or fragile items on the top shelves that could fall when the bed is operated.

4.3. Luces LED

The LED lights are located on the top interior of the cabinet. These lights provide gentle illumination, suitable for reading or as a night lamp. Operate the lights using the integrated switch (location specified in assembly manual).

• Limpeza: Wipe surfaces with a dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner, then dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the finish.
• Aspirar: Regularly vacuum around the bed mechanism and inside the cabinet to prevent dust buildup.
