1. Introdución

Thank you for choosing the SEBSON Recessed Ceiling Motion Detector. This device is designed for indoor use to automatically control lighting based on motion and ambient light levels. Please read this manual carefully before installation and operation to ensure proper function and safety.

2. Instrucións de seguridade

  • A instalación debe ser realizada por un electricista cualificado de acordo coa normativa local de cableado.

5. Instalación

Importante: Ensure power is disconnected at the main circuit breaker before starting installation.

  1. Prepare a mounting hole in the ceiling with a diameter of 63-66 mm. Ensure there is sufficient depth (minimum 45 mm) for the detector.
  2. Connect the wiring according to the diagram below. The detector requires a 3-wire connection (Live, Neutral, Switched Live).
  3. Insert the detector into the prepared hole. The spring clips will secure it in place.

6. Funcionamento e axustes

The motion detector features two adjustable dials on the back for 'TIME' (duration) and 'LUX' (light sensitivity).

6.1. TIME Adjustment

O dial "TEMPO" controla canto tempo permanece acesa a luz conectada despois de que se detecte movemento e non se detecte máis movemento. Xira o dial para axustar a duración desexada:

  • 10 segundos: Minimum duration (10 seconds).
  • 30 min: Maximum duration (30 minutes).

6.2. LUX Adjustment

The 'LUX' dial determines the ambient light level at which the detector will activate. This allows the light to only turn on when it's dark enough.

  • 3: Activates only in very dark conditions (e.g., night).
  • 2000: Activates in all light conditions (day and night).

To set the LUX level, turn the dial to the sun symbol (2000 lux) for testing during daylight. Once satisfied with the detection, adjust the dial towards the moon symbol (3 lux) to the desired ambient light level for automatic operation.

The detector has a 360° detection angle and a maximum range of 8 meters. Optimal installation height is between 1.8m and 4m. Avoid installing near heat sources, direct sunlight, or areas with significant air movement (e.g., air conditioning vents) to prevent false triggers.

7. Mantemento

The SEBSON motion detector requires minimal maintenance. Ensure the sensor lens is kept clean and free from dust or obstructions. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

8 Solución de problemas
