Models: GMI 260, GMI 300, GMI 350

1. Introdución

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of the WVCLTVJA Solar Micro Inverter. This device converts direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar photovoltaic (PV) panels into alternating current (AC) electricity suitable for use in a grid-tied system. It features Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology to optimize energy harvest from your solar array.

2. Información de seguridade

WARNING! DANGER! Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation or operation to prevent injury or damage to equipment.

  • Read this user manual completely before operating this equipment. Failure to do so can result in serious injury, property damage, and/or electrical shock.
  • Use photovoltaic panels (PV) ONLY to connect to the inverter.
  • DO NOT exceed the PV panel(s) voltage over the inverter's maximum input voltage.
  • DO NOT exceed the PV panel(s) power over the inverter's maximum input power.
  • DC voltage sources are passed through this equipment. Each circuit must be individually disconnected before servicing.
  • DO NOT remove the lid. Servicing must be performed by qualified service personnel.
  • When the PV array is exposed to light, it generates DC voltage. Install the inverter away from direct sunlight and direct rain exposure.

4. Configuración e instalación

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your micro inverter. Ensure all local electrical codes and regulations are followed. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.

4.1 Montaxe do inversor

  1. Select a suitable mounting location, preferably under the solar panel, to protect it from direct sunlight and rain. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  2. Secure the inverter to the mounting structure using appropriate fasteners through the integrated mounting brackets.

4.2 DC Connection (Solar Panels)

  1. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) cables from your solar panel to the corresponding DC+ and DC- MC4 input connectors on the micro inverter.
  2. Ensure the connections are secure and properly seated. Verify that the solar panel's voltage and power are within the inverter's specifications.

4.3 AC Connection (Grid)

  1. Connect the AC output cable from the micro inverter to your electrical grid system. This typically involves connecting to a dedicated circuit breaker in your electrical panel.
  2. Ensure all AC wiring is correctly terminated and insulated according to electrical standards.

4.4 Conexión a terra

Ensure the inverter is properly grounded according to local electrical codes. This is a critical safety measure.

5. Funcionamento

Once installed, the micro inverter operates automatically. When solar panels receive sufficient sunlight, the inverter will begin converting DC power to AC power and feeding it into the grid.

5.1 Acendido

  1. After all connections (DC and AC) are securely made, turn on the AC circuit breaker connected to the inverter.
  2. O inversor realizará unha autoproba e logo comezará a funcionar.

5.2 Indicador de estado

The LED status indicator on the inverter provides information about its operational state:

  • Verde sólido: Normal operation, generating power.
  • Verde intermitente: Initializing or waiting for sufficient PV power.
  • Vermello sólido: Fault or error condition. Refer to the troubleshooting section.
  • Sen luz: Non hai enerxía para o inversor.

6. Mantemento

The WVCLTVJA Solar Micro Inverter requires minimal maintenance. Regular checks can help ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Inspección visual: Periodically inspect the inverter and all cables for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
  • Limpeza: Keep the inverter's exterior clean and free from dust or debris. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure ventilation fins are not blocked.
  • Verificación profesional: It is recommended to have a qualified electrician inspect your solar system periodically.

WARNING: Before performing any maintenance, ensure the inverter is disconnected from both the DC (solar panels) and AC (grid) power sources.

7 Solución de problemas

This section provides solutions for common issues you might encounter with your micro inverter.
