Installation of the Kwikset Maven Lock Set is designed to be straightforward, often requiring only a screwdriver. Ensure your door is between 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" thick and has standard bore holes.

Kwikset's SmartKey Security technology allows you to re-key your lock to a new key in seconds, without removing the lock from the door. This feature is useful if you've recently moved, lost keys, or want to use a single key for multiple Kwikset SmartKey locks.

4.1. Re-keying Instructions

1. Insert your functioning key fully into the cylinder and turn it 90 degrees clockwise.
2. Insert the SmartKey re-key tool fully and firmly into the SmartKey hole. You will feel a slight click. Remove the re-key tool.
3. Retira a chave funcional.
4. Insert your new key fully into the cylinder and turn it 180 degrees counter-clockwise.

5.1. Keyed Entry Knob

• To Lock from Exterior: Insert the key and turn it to the locked position. Remove the key.
• To Unlock from Exterior: Insert the key and turn it to the unlocked position.
• To Lock from Interior: Rotate the turn-piece on the interior knob to the locked position.
• To Unlock from Interior: Rotate the turn-piece on the interior knob to the unlocked position.

5.2. Deadbolt

• To Lock from Exterior: Insert the key into the deadbolt cylinder and turn it to extend the bolt. Remove the key.
• To Unlock from Exterior: Insert the key into the deadbolt cylinder and turn it to retract the bolt.
• To Lock from Interior: Rotate the thumb-turn on the interior deadbolt to extend the bolt.
• To Unlock from Interior: Rotate the thumb-turn on the interior deadbolt to retract the bolt.

6. Microban Protection

The Kwikset Maven Lock Set features Microban Antimicrobial Technology.
