4. Configuración
4.1. Instalación da batería
The MT28 moisture meter requires one 9V alkaline battery (included). To install or replace the battery:
- Abra a tapa do compartimento da batería que se atopa na parte traseira do dispositivo.
- Introduza a pila de 9 V, asegurándose de manter a polaridade correcta dos terminais (+ e -).
- Pecha a tapa do compartimento da batería de forma segura.
The low battery indicator will display when the battery level is low. Please replace it with a new one.
4.2. Calibración inicial
To ensure accurate readings, it is recommended to calibrate the meter before use or if you suspect inaccurate readings. To calibrate:
- Acende o dispositivo.
- Hold the meter in the air, away from any objects or surfaces.
- Long press the "HOLD" button until the display shows "CAL" and then resets to "0.0%". This indicates successful calibration.
5. Instrucións de funcionamento
5.1. Acendido/apagado

- To turn off the meter, long press the Botón de acendido for about 2 seconds. The device will also auto-power off after 5 minutes of inactivity.
5.2. Selecting Measurement Mode
The MT28 offers four measurement modes for different materials:
- MURO: For drywall and similar wall materials.
- CALLEIRA: For brick, concrete, and plaster.
- SOFT WOOD: For soft wood types.
- HARD WOOD: For hard wood types.
To select the appropriate mode, press the Botón MODE repeatedly until the desired material type is displayed on the screen.

5.3. Toma de medicións
Once the correct mode is selected:
- Place the back of the meter (sensor area) flat against the surface you wish to measure.
- Ensure full contact between the sensor and the material for accurate readings.

5.5. Función de retención
Para conxelar a lectura actual na pantalla, prema o botón Botón HOLD. This is useful when measuring in hard-to-reach areas. Press the Botón HOLD de novo para liberar a lectura.
5.6. Lanterna incorporada
The MT28 includes a built-in flashlight to illuminate dark measurement areas. To activate or deactivate the flashlight, press the Botón da lanterna (usually marked with a light bulb icon).

7. Mantemento
- Limpa o dispositivo regularmente cun pano suave e seco. Non empregues produtos de limpeza abrasivos nin disolventes.
- Retire a batería se non vai usar o dispositivo durante un período prolongado para evitar fugas.
- Store the meter in its protective bag in a cool, dry place.

- Lecturas inconsistentes: Ensure the surface is flat, clean, and free from metal. Take multiple measurements and average them. Calibrate the device if necessary.
