This manual provides essential instructions for the safe installation, use, and maintenance of your Deryan Clyde I-Size Car Seat. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the car seat and keep it in a safe place for future reference. The Deryan Clyde car seat is designed to offer maximum safety, comfort, and durability for your child.
It is an all-in-one solution suitable from birth up to approximately 12 years of age (children measuring between 40 and 150 cm), eliminating the need to purchase multiple car seats as your child grows. The seat is approved according to UN Regulation No. R129/04 (i-Size), ensuring compliance with the strictest European safety standards.

4. Configuración e instalación

The Deryan Clyde features a 14-position adjustable headrest and an evolving backrest to perfectly fit your child's growth. The 5-point harness height adjusts simultaneously with the headrest.
- To adjust the headrest, locate the adjustment lever at the top of the headrest.
- Squeeze the lever and simultaneously pull up or push down the headrest to the desired height.
- Ensure the shoulder straps are at or just below your child's shoulders when rear-facing, and at or just above their shoulders when forward-facing.

4.2. Rear-Facing Installation (40-105 cm)
For children from 40 cm to 105 cm (approximately birth to 4 years), the car seat must be installed in a rear-facing position using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.
- Place the car seat on the vehicle's rear seat, facing the rear of the vehicle.
- Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated blue belt guides for rear-facing installation.
- Buckle the seat belt and pull it tight to remove all slack. The car seat should not move more than 2.5 cm (1 inch) side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Ensure the infant insert (soft body cushion) is used for newborns and smaller infants to provide proper positioning and support.
4.3. Forward-Facing Installation (100-150 cm)
For children from 100 cm to 150 cm (approximately 3.5 to 12 years), the car seat can be installed in a forward-facing position using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt. The 5-point harness must be removed and stored according to the instructions in Section 5.2.
- Place the car seat on the vehicle's rear seat, facing the front of the vehicle.
- Route the vehicle's 3-point seat belt through the designated red belt guides for forward-facing installation.
- Buckle the seat belt and pull it tight to remove all slack. The car seat should not move more than 2.5 cm (1 inch) side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
- Ensure the vehicle's shoulder belt lies flat across your child's shoulder and chest, not on the neck or face. The lap belt should be low on the hips, touching the thighs.

5. Instrucións de funcionamento

For children 40-105 cm (using 5-point harness):

- Bring the shoulder straps over your child's shoulders and connect the two buckle tongues into the central buckle until you hear a click.
- Pull the harness adjustment strap at the front of the seat to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. You should not be able to pinch any slack in the harness straps at the shoulder.

5.2. Recline Positions
The Deryan Clyde offers 3 forward-facing recline positions and 1 rear-facing recline position for optimal comfort.
- To adjust the recline, locate the recline adjustment handle at the front base of the car seat.
- Squeeze the handle and tilt the seat to the desired recline angle.
- Ensure the seat clicks securely into place in the chosen position.
- Always check that the car seat remains stable and properly installed after adjusting the recline.

5.3. Storing the 5-Point Harness (for 100-150 cm use)
When your child reaches 100 cm in height, the 5-point harness should be removed and stored. The car seat will then be used as a high-back booster with the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.
- Unbuckle the harness and loosen the straps completely.
- Follow the instructions printed on the car seat or refer to the detailed diagrams in the full manual for specific steps to detach and store the harness straps behind the seat cover.
- Ensure all harness components are securely stored so they do not interfere with the vehicle's seat belt or become a projectile in an accident.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your Deryan Clyde car seat.
