3. Configuración e instalación

Follow these steps to set up your Indesit PAI29COW Portable Air Conditioner. No external unit is required.

3.1 Desembalaxe

• Retire con coidado o aire acondicionado e todos os accesorios da embalaxe.
• Garde a embalaxe para futuros almacenamentos ou transportes.
• Inspeccione a unidade para detectar calquera signo de dano. Se está danada, non a faga funcionar e póñase en contacto co servizo de atención ao cliente.

3.2 Posicionamento da unidade

• Place the unit on a firm, level surface near a window or door for exhaust hose installation.
• Asegúrate de que haxa polo menos 30 cm (12 polgadas) de espazo libre arredor da unidade para un fluxo de aire axeitado.
• Non coloque a unidade á luz solar directa nin preto de fontes de calor.

3.3 Instalación da mangueira de escape

The exhaust hose expels hot air from the room. Proper installation is crucial for efficient cooling.

1. Conecte un extremo da mangueira de escape á saída de aire da parte traseira da unidade. Xire no sentido das agullas do reloxo ata que estea fixada.
2. Extend the exhaust hose to the nearest window or door. The hose is 1.5 meters long and 12.5 cm in diameter.
3. Use the provided window installation kit to seal the opening around the hose, preventing hot air from re-entering the room.
4. Ensure the hose is as straight and short as possible to maximize efficiency. Avoid sharp bends or kinks.

3.4 Conexión de alimentación

4. Instrucións de funcionamento

Your Indesit PAI29COW can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.

4.1 Panel de control

The control panel features a digital display and touch-sensitive buttons for various functions:

• Botón de encendido: Acende ou apaga a unidade.
• Botón de modo: Cycles through operating modes (Cooling, Dehumidify, Fan).
• Botóns para subir/baixar a temperatura: Axusta a temperatura desexada.
• Botón de velocidade: Axusta a velocidade do ventilador (Baixa, Media, Alta).
• Timer/Sleep Button: Activates the timer function or Sleep mode.

4.2 Control remoto

The remote control provides access to all functions of the air conditioner from a distance.

• POTENCIA: Acende ou apaga a unidade.
• MODO: Selects operating mode (Cooling, Dehumidify, Fan).
• TEMP+ / TEMP-: Axusta a temperatura desexada.
• VELOCIDADE: Axusta a velocidade do ventilador.
• DURMIR: Activates Sleep mode.
• TEMPORIZADOR: Axusta o temporizador de acendido/apagado automático.

4.3 Modos de funcionamento

• Modo de arrefriamento: Provides rapid and effective cooling. Set your desired temperature using the TEMP+ / TEMP- buttons.
• Modo de deshumidificación: Reduces humidity in the air without significant cooling. The fan speed is typically fixed in this mode.
• Modo de ventilador: Circulates air without cooling. You can adjust the fan speed.

4.4 Funcións especiais

• Timer (24h): Program the unit to automatically turn ON or OFF within a 24-hour period. Refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual for setting the timer.
• Sleep Mode (Dolce Sonno): Reduces noise levels and gradually adjusts the temperature for comfortable sleep.
• Tecnoloxía de ZoneFollow: This feature automatically adjusts temperature based on the remote control's location. Consult the full product manual for detailed instructions on activating and using ZoneFollow.
• Autorestart: In case of a power interruption, the unit will automatically resume operation with the last settings once power is restored.

5. Mantemento

Un mantemento regular garante un rendemento óptimo e prolonga a vida útil do seu aire acondicionado. Desconecte sempre a unidade antes de realizar calquera mantemento.

5.1 Limpeza do filtro de aire

The Indesit PAI29COW is equipped with an electrostatic filter. Clean the air filter every two weeks, or more frequently if the unit is used in a dusty environment.

1. Apague e desenchufe o aire acondicionado.
2. Localiza o panel do filtro de aire (normalmente na parte traseira ou lateral da unidade).
3. Retire o filtro.
4. Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash it gently with lukewarm water and mild detergent.
5. Rinse thoroughly and allow the filter to air dry completely before re-installing.
6. Re-insert the dry filter into the unit and close the panel.

5.2 Drenaxe de auga condensada

During cooling and dehumidifying operations, water condenses inside the unit. The unit has a self-evaporating system, but in high humidity conditions, the water tank may fill up.

• When the water tank is full, the unit will stop operating and display an indicator (refer to the full manual for specific indicator).
• Place a shallow pan or tray under the drain outlet (usually at the bottom rear of the unit).
