To connect your ETEK smart breaker to WiFi, download the Tuya Smart App. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz network. In the app, tap '+' to add a device, then press and hold the distribution button on the breaker for about 10 seconds until the indicator light flashes. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete pairing.
The 'Test Monthly' button simulates a leakage fault to ensure the internal mechanism is functioning correctly. You should press this button once a month; the breaker should trip immediately to the OFF position. If it does not, the device may be faulty and requires replacement.
In Manual (MANU) mode, the breaker can only be operated physically using the handle, and remote control via the app is disabled (often indicated by a red symbol in the app). In Auto (AUTO) mode, the breaker can be controlled remotely via the Tuya Smart App for switching and timing functions.
Common reasons include not being on a 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz is not supported for pairing), the device not being in distribution mode (indicator flashing), or the WiFi signal being too weak at the installation location. Ensure the device is powered on and reset properly before trying again.
