1. Introdución

Thank you for choosing the PROTMEX Wireless Weather Station. This device provides comprehensive indoor and outdoor environmental data, including temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and weather forecasts. It also features a clock with alarm functions and a convenient USB charging port.

3. Configuración inicial

3.1 Alimentación dos dispositivos

  1. Sensor remoto: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote sensor. Insert 2 x AAA 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.
  2. Main Unit (Indoor Receiver):
    • Option 1 (Power Adapter): Connect the DC 5V power adapter to the "DC 5V" input socket on the back of the main unit and plug it into a wall outlet.
    • Option 2 (Batteries): Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 x AAA 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery compartment. Note: Using batteries alone may limit backlight functionality.

3.2 Emparellamento do sensor remoto

Once both units are powered, the main unit will automatically search for the remote sensor's signal. This may take a few minutes. The outdoor temperature and humidity readings will appear on the main unit's display once connected.

If the outdoor readings do not appear, press and hold the "CH" button on the main unit to manually initiate a search for the sensor. Ensure the remote sensor is within the 60-meter (200 ft) line-of-sight wireless transmission range.

3.3 Configuración inicial da data e da hora

The weather station features a Radio Controlled Clock (RCC) via DCF signal. It will attempt to synchronize the time automatically. If manual adjustment is needed or preferred:

  1. Press the "SET" button to enter time setting mode.
  2. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust values.
  3. Press "SET" again to confirm each setting and move to the next (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day).

4. Instrucións de funcionamento

4.2 Características de visualización

  • Unidades de temperatura: Toggle between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) using the appropriate button (often combined with +/- or a dedicated switch on the sensor).
  • Brillo da luz de fondo: When powered by the adapter, short press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button to cycle through 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% brightness. A long press will turn the backlight off (0%).
  • Pronóstico do tempo: The display shows one of six weather icons (Sunny, Slightly Cloudy, Cloudy, Rainy, Heavy Rainy, Snowy) based on atmospheric pressure changes over the past 12 hours.
  • Nivel de confort: An emoji icon indicates the indoor comfort level based on temperature and humidity.
  • Data Trend: Trend arrows indicate whether temperature, humidity, and air pressure are rising, falling, or remaining steady.
  • Alertas de temperatura: Set high and low temperature alert values for indoor and outdoor readings. An icon will flash and an alert sound will activate when the temperature reaches the set value.

  • Aviso de xeadas: A snowflake icon will appear when the outdoor temperature is between -2°C and 3°C (28.4°F and 37.4°F).

4.3 porto de carga USB

The main unit includes a USB output port (5V) that can be used to charge other devices like mobile phones, MP3 players, or tablets when the weather station is powered by its DC 5V adapter. A charging status indicator will be visible on the display.

5. Mantemento

  • Limpeza: Limpe as superficies da pantalla e da unidade cun pano suave eamp pano. Non use produtos de limpeza ou disolventes abrasivos.
  • Substitución da batería: Replace batteries in both the main unit and remote sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
  • Colocación: For optimal performance, place the remote sensor in a shaded, dry location outdoors, protected from direct sunlight and rain. Ensure it is within the wireless range of the main unit.

6 Solución de problemas

    • Ensure batteries are correctly installed in the remote sensor and main unit.
    • Press and hold the "CH" button on the main unit to re-establish connection.
    • Move the remote sensor closer to the main unit, ensuring it's within range and free from obstructions.

  • Hora/data incorrecta:
    • Ensure the unit is receiving the DCF signal (if applicable to your region).
    • Manually set the time and date using the "SET" and "+/-" buttons.

    • Short press the "SNOOZE/LIGHT" button to adjust brightness. Long press to turn it off/on.
    • Check battery levels if running on batteries.
