Antes de comezar
iMIX5 is an audio router designed to support 5 audio outputs with the option to choose one of 4 audio sources in each output individually. It’s a stereo device controllable via RS232 interface or wall-mounted touchpads for main functions control. iMIX5 has integrated a USB player and an FM receiver, and supports wireless audio streaming from mobile devices. Priority input for emergency audio, external mute contact in an emergency case.

Operación do panel frontal

• INDICADOR DE ESTADO DA SAÍDA
  • All five audio outputs have a separate indication based on a bi-colour LED in order to display audio output status. A Green colour LED indicates a detected audio signal. Red colour – mute. Audio in the output is muted in order to connect audio from the priority input to all iMIX5 outputs. The yellow colour indicates call station activity.
• ENTRADA AUX
  • Line-level stereo input with 3.5mm TRS jack connector located on the front panel: AUX input has priority over USB, FM, and streaming from mobile devices. Audio from the listed music source stops at one’s media player detects an inserted 3.5mm jack connector. Line level AUX input on MIX iMIX paging station: audio from this input is mixed with mthe microphone signal and does not have priority over the microphone or vice versa. AUX can be enabled in the same way as the microphone: select the zone and hold or click the Talk button.
• XOGADOR DE MEDIOS
  • Plays wireless audio from mobile devices, USB flash, and FM receiver. The device supports up to 32GB USB flash drives.
• SAÍDA DE MONITOR
  • Balanced audio output designed to check audio in any output. Use the Monitor source selector to choose audio in the monitor output for testing purposes.

• LCD SCREENThe 
  • LCD screen displays main information about the media player status: track number and time, media player volume level, music source, and FM frequency.
• UNIDADE FLASH USB
  • Supports up to 32GB USB flash drives formatted in FAT32 file sistema, tamén admite formatos de audio comprimidos.
• MODO
  • Button switches player between wireless mobile streaming mode, FM mode, and Music mode (USB).
• ATRÁS
  • A single short press of this button in music mode will change the currently playing soundtrack to the previous track. The button reduces the volume level of the media player after holding this button for a few seconds. Backward button in FM mode decreasesthe  FM frequency by 0.1 MHz steps, and also switches radio presets.
• REPRODUCIR/PAUSA
  • Switch player mode between play and pause. Hold this button at FM mode in order to start the radio station auto scan. Press this button rapidly to toggle FM frequency auto/manual scanning mode.
• ADIANTE
  • A single short press of this button in music mode will change the currently playing soundtrack to the next track. Increase the volume level of the media player after holding the button for a few seconds. The forward button in FM mode increases FM frequency by 0.1 MHz steps, and also switches radio presets.
• REPETIR
  There is a choice to select one of three modes:
  • RTA: repite todas as pistas.
  • RT1: repite unha pista.
  • RND: xogo aleatorio
• The second function of this button is to save the FM radio frequency to the selected preset.
• SILENCIO E ACENDIDO/APAGADO
  • Press this button rapidly to mute audio. Hold this button longer to turn off/media player. FM mode enables a second function, which allows exit from frequency adjusting without saving the radio station frequency to a preset.
• Receptor de radio FM
  • FM radio receiver allows saving up to 26 presets with selected radio stations. FMcontrol is made with the same buttons as a media player. Backward, forward,  play/pause, repeat, and power buttons have different functions for the media player and for the FM receiver.
• ATRÁS
  • Decrease the FM frequency by 0.1 MHz steps if manual mode is selected. Allows to selection radio preset.
• ADIANTE
  • Increase FM frequency by 0.1 MHz steps in manual mode. Allows to selection radio preset.
• REPRODUCIR/PAUSA
  • Press this button rapidly to toggle FM frequency auto/manual scanning mode.
• REPETIR
  • Designed to save FM radio frequency to selected presets.
• SILENCIO E ACENDIDO/APAGADO
  • Allows exit from frequency adjusting without saving the radio station frequency to a preset.

Guía de configuración manual da radiofrecuencia

1. Hold the Play/pause button in order to enter manual scanning mode.
2. Set frequency by using the backward and forward buttons in 0.1 MHz steps.
3. Press the repeat button to start the save procedure.
4.  Select a preset number by using the backward and forward buttons.
5. Save the radio station to the selected preset by pressing the repeat button. The screen displays “OK” in order to confirm successful recording to memory.
6. Press the Mute button to exit manual frequency scanning. Please use the backward and forward buttons in auto scan mode to switch saved radio stations.

• CONNECTORS FOR WC iMIX WALL CONTROL
  • These RJ45 ports are designed to connect WC iMIX wall controls by using standard CAT 5 cable. WC1 control audio in output 1, WC2 control audio in output 2 and etc…. WC iMIX controls must be connected directly to iMIX5; do not use any computer network equipment. WC1 – WC5 ports incorporate RS485 interface, analogue audio line, and +24V power. The maximum distance between iMix5 and WC iMix is 500m.
• CONNECTOR FOR MIC iMIX PAGE STATION
  • Connector dedicated to the MIC iMIX page station. Do not connect to any computer network equipment! MIC iMIX page station incorporates RS485 interface, analogue audio line,e and +24V power. The maximum distance between MIC iMIX and iMIX is 500m.
• INTERFAZ RS232
  • Designed to control mthe main function of IMIX5 by using the serial interface. The RS232 protocol is listed on page 11
• MUTE EXTERNO
  • Dry contact designed to MUTE all iMIX5 inputs and link audio from the priority input to all outputs. Audio signal from the page station will not be muted.
• ENTRADA PRIORIDADE
  • Priority input unbalanced audio input designed for emergency and other high-priority audio messages. Input became active after closing the external mute contact.
• STEREO AUDIO OUTPUTS
  • Unbalanced line-level stereo outputs. Audio in output 1 is controlled by the WC iMIX wall control connected to the WC1 port. Audio in output 2 controls WC2, etc…
• INPUTS GAIN CONTROL
  • This control allows precise adjustment of input gain in order to have the same audio level in all inputs.
• STEREO AUDIO INPUT
  • Designed to an audio source which will be selectable by using the WC iMIX wall controls.
• INTERRUPTOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN PANTASMA
  • Set the phantom power switch to the “ON” position to activate phantom power to the microphone input. Maximum phantom power voltage is +24V. To disable phantom power, set the switch to the “off” position.
• INTERRUPTOR DE ENERXÍA
  • Use this switch to power on/off. iMIX5 is an audio router.
• CONECTOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN PRINCIPAL
  • The connector is combined with a fuse holder and a 1 A 250V fuse.

Control de parede WC iMIX

WWC iMIX is a simple-to-use touch control covered with white or black coloured glass. The wall controller allows adjusting volume, selecting music, muting audio, and sending local audio tothe public address sound system. Local audio input can be connected directly to the wall control by using an additional connector. iMIX5 can support 5 units of WC iMIX, one unit per zone.

Funcionamento do panel frontal/traseiro

• DC 24V OUTPUT
  • DC24V power supply designed to supply a compatible device.
• ENTRADA DE AUDIO LOCAL
  • Designed to connect audio from a local music source. This input can be enabled by a button located on the front panel, also by using the RS232 interface. After local input activation, audio from iMIX5 inputs will be muted till local input is disabled.
• RJ45 CONNECTORThe 
  • RJ45 port is designed to connect the WC iMIX wall control to the iMIX5 by using a standard CAT 5 cable. • INDICACIÓN DE CANAL DE AUDIO
  • LED indicates which one of the four iMIX5 audio inputs plays in the WC iMIX operating zone. The input USB is audio from the iMIX5 media player.
• SYSTEM BUSY INDICATOR
  • In case device control lines are occupied and iMIX5 can’t send a new data string to the external device, the system’s busy indicator becomes red. Usually it takes 3-5 seconds till systems return to the normal stage.
• VOLUME
  • Capacitive touch buttons to control audio volume.

  • Capacitive touch buttons to select the audio source. Sources named 1, 2, and 3 is iMIX5 stereo inputs, source USB is audio from the iMIX5 media player.

Funcionamento do panel frontal/traseiro

• CONECTOR DE MICROFONO
  • Designed to connect the gooseneck microphone to the page station. Supports a condensed microphone.
• SINAL LED
  • Indicates the audio signal in the page station output.
• TODO BOTÓN
  This switch activates all zones for broadcasting announcements. There are three ways to use this button:
  • Quick – hold button till Talk LED becomes green. This method plays a chime sound before enabling the microphone. Page station turns off the microphone automatically after button release.
  • Lock mode – click the All button in order to select all iMX5 zones. After selection, click the talk button. This method also plays a chime sound before enabling the microphone and locking the talk button to announce without
  • holding the button all the time.
  • No chime mode – click the All button in order to select all iMX5 zones. After selection, click and hold the talk button. This mode mute’s chime for the current announcement. Page station turns off the microphone automatically after button release
• TALK INDICATION
  • LED for showing page station status. Green colour – page station is ready to transmit announcement. Red colour – data line busy. Usually it takes 2-3 seconds till the system returns to the normal stage and the indicator changes colour to green.
• BOTÓN DE FALA
  • Talk button – activates the microphone. Every time before talking button zone for receiving announcements must be selected.
• SELECTOR DE ZONA
  • These switches control output to broadcast an announcement to the desired zone.

  • Turn clockwise to increase or counter-clockwise to decrease the gain station microphone.

  • Potentiometer for adjusting Chime’s loudness.
• RJ45 PORTThe 
  • RJ45 port is designed to connect the WC iMIX page station to iMIX5 by using a standard LAN cable.
• CONECTOR DE ALIMENTACIÓN
  Power connector designed to connect additional power supply. If the distance between the call station and iMIX5 is more than 100m, an external power supply isrecommended.
• Chime
  • MIC iMIX page station supports several chime options. All chime settings can be adjusted by using the DIP switch located in the call station at the bottom.
• Mode 000 means all DIP switches are set to position OFF.
• Mode 010 means that only the middle DIP switch is set to position ON.
