The Radio Shack Plug' n Power Home Security System is a wireless, easy-to-install solution designed to provide peace of mind for your home, apartment, or condo. This system eliminates the need for complex wiring and drilling, utilizing your home's existing AC wiring for signal transmission. It includes a central control console, wireless door/window sensors, a motion detector, and a convenient keychain remote control.

4. Guía de configuración

4.1. Powering the Control Console

1. Plug the Control Console into a standard AC electrical outlet.
2. Connect the provided phone cord from the Control Console to a telephone wall jack.

4.2. Instalación de baterías

• Keychain Remote: The two CR2016 lithium batteries are pre-installed. If replacement is needed, refer to the Maintenance section.

4.3. Colocación do sensor

• Sensores de porta/xanela: Mount one part of the sensor on the door/window frame and the other part on the door/window itself, ensuring they are aligned and close to each other when the door/window is closed.
• Detector de movemento: Place the motion detector in a corner or high vantage point in the room you wish to monitor, ensuring it has a clear line of sight to the area. Avoid placing it near heat sources or direct sunlight.

5. Instrucións de funcionamento

5.1. Armado do sistema

To activate the security system:

• Usando a consola de control: Press the 'ARM' button on the console. The system will emit a confirmation tone, and the status indicator will change.
• Using the Keychain Remote: Press the 'ARM' button on the keychain remote. The system will confirm arming with a tone.

5.2. Desactivación do sistema

To deactivate the security system:

• Usando a consola de control: Enter your disarm code (if set up) or press the 'DISARM' button. The system will emit a confirmation tone.
• Using the Keychain Remote: Press the 'DISARM' button on the keychain remote. The system will confirm disarming with a tone.

5.3. Funcións de monitorización

The system includes a built-in microphone. If the system contacts a pre-programmed number during an alarm, the person on the other end can listen to the sounds in the room where the control console is located.

6.1. Substitución da batería

Replace batteries promptly when low battery indicators appear or system performance degrades.

• Keychain Remote: Replace with 2 x CR2016 lithium batteries.

6.2. Limpeza

Wipe the surfaces of the control console and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the components.

7 Solución de problemas

If you encounter issues with your security system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• System does not arm/disarm:
  • Check if the control console is properly plugged into an AC outlet.
  • Ensure all sensors have fresh batteries and are correctly installed.
  • Verify that the keychain remote batteries are not depleted.
• O sensor non activa a alarma:
  • Check sensor battery levels.
  • Ensure door/window sensors are properly aligned and within range of the control console.
  • Verify the motion detector's placement and ensure no obstructions are blocking its field of view.
• No sound from control console:
