Follow these steps carefully for proper installation of your Thule Rapid Traverse Foot Pack. Refer to your enclosed fit kit instructions for vehicle-specific details and measurements.

Step 1: Prepare Load Bars

Insert the rubber strip into the top channel of the load bars. Ensure it is fully seated and trim any excess if necessary. This strip helps reduce wind noise and provides a cushioned surface for your cargo.

Step 2: Attach Foot to Load Bar

Open the foot housing and slide the foot onto the load bar. Ensure the foot is correctly oriented. Insert the end cap into the load bar, securing the foot in place. Repeat this process for all four feet on both load bars.

Step 3: Install Fit Kit Components

Refer to your enclosed fit kit instructions for specific slide bar and pad numbers related to your vehicle. Insert the correct slide bar into the designated slot on the foot. Then, attach the appropriate rubber pad to the bottom of the foot. These components are crucial for a custom and secure fit to your vehicle's roof.

Step 4: Loosen Bolts on Feet

Using the provided tool, loosen the bolt on each foot until it stops. This allows the foot to expand and properly clamp onto your vehicle's roofline.

Step 5: Prepare Vehicle and Position Load Bars

Open all vehicle doors and clean the roof surface where the rack will attach. Carefully place the front load bar onto the vehicle's roof. Refer to your fit kit instructions for the precise X and Y measurements (distance from windshield and distance between feet) for your specific vehicle. Measure the distance on both sides to ensure even placement.

Step 6: Tighten Feet and Secure

Hold the bracket firmly against the vehicle's roof while tightening the bolt on each foot. Tighten all four feet equally. The green torque indicator on the tool must be moving on turn to ensure proper torque and a secure fit. Once tightened, close the foot housing.

Step 7: Optional Lock Core Installation

For added security, you can install Thule One-Key lock cores (sold separately) into each foot. Insert the lock core and turn the key to secure it. Repeat this process for all four feet.
