Always prioritize safety when cycling. This light set is designed to increase your visibility to others and illuminate your path. However, it is not a substitute for safe riding practices.

  • Ensure lights are securely mounted before each ride.
  • Regularly check battery levels and replace them as needed to avoid unexpected power loss.
  • Clean lenses regularly to maintain maximum light output.
  • Do not look directly into the light beam, as it may cause temporary vision impairment.
  • Adhere to all local traffic laws and regulations regarding bicycle lighting.

Configuración

1. Instalación da batería

The Blackburn Local Bike Set Lights are powered by AAA batteries. If batteries are not pre-installed or need replacement, follow these steps:

  1. Luz frontal: Locate the battery compartment cover, typically on the underside or rear of the light. Open it carefully. Insert 3 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.
  2. Luz traseira: The rear light's red cover often pops open. Gently pry open the red cover to access the battery compartment. Insert 2 AAA batteries, observing polarity. Close the cover firmly until it clicks into place.

Nota: Some users have reported issues with included batteries or battery corrosion. It is recommended to use high-quality alkaline or rechargeable AAA batteries (e.g., eneloop) for best performance and to prevent corrosion.

2. Montaxe das luces

The lights utilize flexible rubber straps for easy, tool-free attachment.

  1. Front Light (Handlebar Mount): Position the front light on your bicycle's handlebar. Wrap the rubber strap around the handlebar and hook it onto the designated latch on the light body. Ensure the light is stable and points forward.
  2. Rear Light (Seat Post/Frame Mount): Attach the rear light to your seat post or frame using the integrated rubber strap. Ensure the light is facing directly backward and is visible from behind. The clip design allows for easy removal if leaving the bike unattended.

Consello: For added security, especially on rough terrain, consider using an additional cable tie or tape to secure the rear light's clip to prevent it from dislodging.

Instrucións de funcionamento

Both the front and rear lights feature simple push-button operation to cycle through modes.

Mantemento

  • Substitución da batería: Replace batteries promptly when light output diminishes. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section for instructions. Remove batteries if the lights will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage and corrosion.
  • Limpeza: Wipe the light bodies and lenses with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the plastic and seals.
  • Resistencia á auga: The lights meet the IP-65 standard, meaning they are protected against dust and strong jets of water. While they are highly water-resistant, they are not designed for submersion. Ensure battery compartments are securely closed after battery changes to maintain water resistance.
