4. Configuración
4.1. Instalación da batería
The Sealey MM20HV requires two AAA batteries for operation.
- Localiza a tapa do compartimento da batería na parte traseira do multímetro.

4.2. Conexión dos cables de proba
A conexión correcta dos cables de proba é esencial para obter medicións precisas e seguras.
- Insira o cable de proba negro na toma "COM" (común).
- Para a maioría dos volumestage, resistance, and continuity measurements, insert the red test lead into the "VΩmA" jack.
- For high current (up to 10A DC) measurements, insert the red test lead into the "10A DC" jack. Ensure the function dial is set to the appropriate current range.

5. Instrucións de funcionamento
The Sealey MM20HV offers 8 functions for various electrical measurements.
5.1. Acendido/apagado
Rotate the central function dial from the "OFF" position to any desired measurement function to turn the multimeter on. To turn off, rotate the dial back to "OFF".
5.2. Medición de CC Voltage (V=)
- Insert the black lead into the "COM" jack and the red lead into the "VΩmA" jack.

5.4. Measuring DC Current (A=)

- For currents up to 200mA, insert the red lead into the "VΩmA" jack. For currents up to 10A, insert the red lead into the "10A DC" jack.
- Set the function dial to the appropriate DC Current range (e.g., 2mA, 20mA, 200mA, 10A).

5.5. Medición da resistencia (Ω)

5.6. Proba de continuidade audible
This function allows for quick checks of circuit continuity with an audible tone.

5.7. Diode/Transistor Verification
This function allows for testing diodes and transistors.
- Insert the black lead into the "COM" jack and the red lead into the "VΩmA" jack.
- Set the function dial to the diode symbol.
- For diode testing, connect the red probe to the anode and the black probe to the cathode. The display will show the forward voltage drop. Reverse the probes; the display should show "OL" (Open Loop) for a good diode.
- For transistor (hFE) testing, insert the transistor leads into the appropriate NPN or PNP sockets on the multimeter. The display will show the hFE value.
5.8. Measuring Temperature (°C)
The multimeter includes a thermocouple for temperature measurements.
- Remove the test leads from the input jacks.
- Insert the thermocouple plug into the "VΩmA" and "COM" jacks, observing polarity if indicated.
- Set the function dial to the "°C" range.

If the current measurement function stops working, the fuse may need replacement.
- Ensure the multimeter is turned off and all test leads are disconnected.
- Remove the battery compartment cover and batteries.
- Locate the fuse(s) inside the compartment. The MM20HV typically uses a 200mA/250V fast-blow fuse for the mA range and a 10A/250V fast-blow fuse for the 10A range.
- Carefully remove the old fuse and replace it with a new fuse of the exact same type and rating.
- Replace the batteries and battery compartment cover.
Importante: Never use a fuse with a different rating or bypass a fuse. This can damage the multimeter and pose a serious safety hazard.
