4. Configuración e instalación

IMPORTANTE: Ensure all power to the electrical panel is OFF before proceeding with installation. Use a voltage tester to confirm the absence of power.

  1. Desconexión de alimentación: Locate the main service panel and turn off the main breaker to completely de-energize the panel.
  2. Acceso ao panel: Retire con coidado a tapa do cadro eléctrico para expoñer a barra colectora e o cableado.
  3. Colocación do interruptor: Identify an available slot on the bus bar that is compatible with the BD20/20's plug-in design.
  4. Instalación: Align the circuit breaker with the bus bar and firmly push it into place until it clicks securely. Ensure both poles are properly seated.
  5. Cableado: Connect the circuit wires to the appropriate terminals on the circuit breaker. For the BD20/20, connect the two hot wires to the respective screw terminals. Refer to Figure 3.3 for recommended torque specifications for wire gauges (14-10 AWG: 20 in-lbs, 8 AWG: 25 in-lbs, 6-4 AWG: 27 in-lbs).
  6. Conexións seguras: Tighten the terminal screws to the specified torque to ensure a secure and safe electrical connection.
  7. Remontaxe do panel: Replace the electrical panel cover, ensuring all screws are tightened.
  8. Restauración de enerxía: Turn the main breaker back ON at the service panel.
  9. Proba: Test the circuit protected by the newly installed breaker to confirm proper operation.

5. Instrucións de funcionamento

The BRYANT BD20/20 circuit breaker operates with simple ON/OFF toggles. When the circuit breaker trips due to an overload or short circuit, the toggle will move to a central or "tripped" position, typically between ON and OFF.

6. Mantemento

Circuit breakers like the BRYANT BD20/20 are generally maintenance-free. However, periodic visual inspection is recommended.
