5. Configuración e instalación

Due to the significant weight of the SD14 gun safe (approximately 90 kg / 198 lbs), it is highly recommended to have at least two people for safe handling and installation.

Select a discreet, dry, and secure location for your safe. Ensure the floor is capable of supporting the safe's weight. Consider locations that allow for easy access but are out of sight from casual visitors.

Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Inspect the safe for any visible damage that may have occurred during transit. Retain the packaging materials until you are satisfied with the safe's condition and functionality.

5.3. Anchoring the Safe

For maximum security, the SD14 gun safe must be securely anchored to the floor and/or a wall. Pre-drilled holes are provided at the back and bottom of the safe for this purpose.

1. Position the safe in its desired location.
2. Open the safe door and mark the positions of the pre-drilled holes on the floor and/or wall using a pencil.
3. Move the safe away from the marked area.
4. Using an appropriate drill bit for your floor/wall material (e.g., masonry bit for concrete), drill holes at the marked positions to the required depth.
5. Insert the provided concrete anchors into the drilled floor holes. For wall mounting, use appropriate wall anchors (not included, as wall materials vary).
6. Carefully reposition the safe, aligning its holes with the drilled holes/anchors.
7. Secure the safe using the provided screws for floor mounting. For wall mounting, use suitable screws that engage firmly with your chosen wall anchors. Tighten all screws securely.
8. Ensure the safe is stable and cannot be easily moved or tipped.

2. Turn the key clockwise until the locking bolts retract.

• Secured Interior Compartment: The small compartment at the top of the safe can be locked separately for additional security. Use its dedicated key (if provided, or the main safe key if it's a shared lock) to open and close it.
