This manual provides essential information for the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the Notifier FAPT-851 ACCLIMATE Multi-Sensor. The FAPT-851 is an intelligent, addressable multi-sensor designed for use with compatible fire alarm control panels. It combines photoelectric smoke and fixed-temperature heat detection to provide enhanced fire protection and reduce nuisance alarms.

4. Configuración e instalación
4.1 Montaxe
The FAPT-851 sensor is designed for flange mounting. Ensure the mounting location complies with local fire codes and provides optimal coverage.
- Select a suitable mounting base (sold separately) compatible with the FAPT-851.
- Secure the mounting base to the ceiling or wall using appropriate fasteners.
- Align the sensor with the mounting base and rotate clockwise until it clicks into place.
4.2 Cableado
Wiring must be performed according to the fire alarm control panel's installation manual and all applicable codes. The FAPT-851 is an addressable device and requires connection to an intelligent signaling line circuit (SLC).
- Ensure power to the SLC is disconnected before wiring.
- Connect the SLC wiring to the terminals on the mounting base as indicated in the base's instructions.
- Set the sensor's address using the rotary switches on the back of the sensor before mounting it to the base.

5. Instrucións de funcionamento
5.1 Operación normal
During normal operation, the sensor communicates with the fire alarm control panel. The LED indicator on the sensor will flash periodically (e.g., every few seconds) to indicate normal polling by the control panel. Refer to your control panel's manual for specific LED flash patterns.

When the sensor detects smoke or heat exceeding its programmed thresholds, it will enter an alarm state. The LED indicator on the sensor will illuminate steadily (e.g., red) to indicate an alarm condition. The control panel will also register the alarm and activate appropriate notification appliances.
5.3 Trouble Indication
If the sensor experiences a fault or malfunction (e.g., contamination, internal error), it will report a trouble condition to the control panel. The LED indicator may flash in a specific pattern (e.g., amber) or remain off, depending on the nature of the trouble. Consult the control panel's manual for trouble code interpretation.
6. Mantemento
Regular maintenance ensures the continued reliable operation of your FAPT-851 sensor.
6.1 Limpeza
Dust and debris can accumulate on the sensor, potentially affecting its performance. Clean the sensor annually or as needed:
- Disconnect power to the fire alarm control panel.
- Gently twist the sensor counter-clockwise to remove it from its mounting base.
- Use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment to remove dust from the sensor's vents and chamber.

6.2 Probas
