2. Instrucións de seguridade
To prevent electric shock, fire, or damage to the amplifier, always observe the following safety precautions:
- Fonte de alimentación: Conecta o amplifier only to an AC power supply of the voltage specified on the rear panel. Ensure the power cable is in good condition and properly grounded.
- Ventilación: Non bloquee as aberturas de ventilación. Asegúrese de que o fluxo de aire arredor do amplifier para evitar o sobrequecemento.
- Humidade: Non expoña o amplifier to rain, moisture, or excessive humidity. Keep liquids away from the unit.
- Servizo: Non intente reparar o amplifier yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. High voltages están presentes dentro do amplifier, even when switched off.
- Conexións dos altofalantes: Conecte sempre o amplifier to a suitable speaker cabinet with the correct impedance before powering on. Operating without a speaker load can damage the output transformer.
- Tube Heat: Vacuum tubes operate at high temperatures. Avoid touching them and allow sufficient cooling time after use.
- Protección auditiva: Isto amplifier can produce high sound pressure levels. Prolonged exposure to high volumes can cause permanent hearing damage. Use appropriate hearing protection.
3. Configuración
3.1 Desembalaxe
Elimina con coidado ampo limpador da súa embalaxe. Garde todos os materiais de embalaxe para futuros transportes ou almacenamentos. Inspeccione o amplifier for any signs of damage incurred during shipping. If damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.
3.2 Conexión a un gabinete de altofalantes
The DSL100HR requires connection to an external speaker cabinet. Ensure the speaker cabinet's impedance matches one of the amplifier's output jacks (16 Ohm, 8 Ohm, or 4 Ohm). Use a high-quality speaker cable (not a guitar cable) for this connection.
- For a single 16 Ohm cabinet, connect to the '16 Ohm' jack.
- For a single 8 Ohm cabinet, connect to one of the '8 Ohm' jacks.
- For two 16 Ohm cabinets, connect each to an '8 Ohm' jack.
- For a single 4 Ohm cabinet, connect to one of the '4 Ohm' jacks.
- For two 8 Ohm cabinets, connect each to a '4 Ohm' jack.
Importante: Non opere nunca o amplifier without a speaker load connected to the appropriate output jack.
3.3 Conexión de alimentación
Connect the supplied power cable to the IEC inlet on the rear panel of the amplifier and then to a grounded mains power outlet.
3.4 Conexión dunha guitarra
Connect your guitar to the 'INPUT' jack on the front panel using a standard instrument cable.
3.5 Conexión do pedal
Connect the supplied footswitch to the 'FOOTSWITCH' jack on the rear panel. This allows remote switching between channels and reverb on/off.
4. Instrucións de funcionamento
4.1 Acendido/Apagado
- Ensure all volume controls are set to minimum.
- Switch the 'POWER' switch to the ON position.
- Wait approximately 30-60 seconds for the tubes to warm up, then switch the 'STANDBY' switch to the ON position. The ampLifier xa está listo para o seu uso.
- To power off, reverse the sequence: 'STANDBY' to OFF, then 'POWER' to OFF.
4.2 Controis do panel frontal
The DSL100HR features a comprehensive set of controls:
- Classic Gain Channel:
- Volume: Controls the output level of the Classic Gain channel.
- Ganancia: Adjusts the amount of pre-amp gain for the Classic Gain channel.
- Clean/Crunch Switch: Selects between a clean tone and a crunchy overdrive within the Classic Gain channel.
- Ultra Gain Channel:
- Volume: Controls the output level of the Ultra Gain channel.
- Ganancia: Adjusts the amount of pre-amp gain for the Ultra Gain channel, from aggressive crunch to searing lead tones.
- OD1/OD2 Switch: Selects between two different overdrive voicings within the Ultra Gain channel.
- Equalization (Shared):
- Agudos, medios, graves: Standard tone controls to shape the amplifier's frequency response.
- Presenza: Adds high-end sparkle and cut to the overall sound.
- Resonancia: Adjusts the low-end response and depth of the ampmáis vivo.
- Cambio de ton: A push-button switch that re-configures the amplifier's EQ for a more modern, mid-scooped sound.
- Reverb: Controla o nivel do efecto de reverberación dixital integrado.
- Master Volume 1 & 2: Two independent master volume controls allow for different overall output levels, useful for solos or rhythm sections. These can be switched via the footswitch.
- Interruptor de potencia alta/baixa: Reduce o amplifier's output power from 100W to 50W, allowing for lower volume operation while maintaining tube tone.
4.3 Conexións do panel traseiro
- Saídas de altofalantes: Multiple jacks for connecting speaker cabinets with various impedance ratings (16 Ohm, 8 Ohm, 4 Ohm).
- Bucle de efectos (envío/retorno): Allows connection of external effects pedals or processors. The FX loop can be bypassed.
- Softube Emulated Output: A 6.35mm jack providing a direct, cabinet-emulated signal for recording or connecting to a PA system.
- Entrada MIDI: For external MIDI control of ampfuncións de eliminación.
- Pedal: Connects the supplied footswitch for remote control of channels and reverb.
5. Mantemento
5.1 Substitución do tubo
The DSL100HR uses 4 x ECC83 preamp tubes and 4 x EL34 power tubes. Tubes have a finite lifespan and will eventually need replacement. Symptoms of worn tubes include loss of volume, reduced tone quality, excessive noise, or intermittent operation. Tube replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified technician, as it involves working with high voltages and proper biasing of new power tubes is crucial for optimal performance and longevity.
5.2 Limpeza
Limpar o amplifier's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes. Ensure the ampo dispensador estea desconectado antes de limpalo.
5.3 Almacenamento
Cando non se use durante períodos prolongados, garde o amplifier in a dry, temperature-controlled environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Using a protective cover can help prevent dust accumulation.
6 Solución de problemas
If you experience issues with your DSL100HR, consult the following troubleshooting guide before seeking professional service:
| Problema | Causa posible | Solución |
|---|---|---|
| Sen son | Power cable disconnected, standby switch off, speaker not connected, faulty cables, guitar volume down, faulty tubes. | Check power and standby switches. Ensure speaker cable is securely connected to the correct impedance jack. Test with different instrument and speaker cables. Check guitar volume. Consult a technician for tube issues. |
| Hum or excessive noise | Ground loop, faulty cables, proximity to other electronic devices, worn tubes. | Asegúrate de que todos os equipos estean no mesmo circuíto de alimentación. Proba con diferentes cables. Move amplifier away from other electronics. Consult a technician for tube inspection. |
| Son débil ou distorsionado | Worn tubes, incorrect speaker impedance, faulty speaker. | Check speaker impedance match. Test with a different speaker cabinet. Consult a technician for tube replacement. |
| Footswitch not working | Footswitch cable disconnected or faulty, footswitch malfunction. | Ensure footswitch cable is securely connected. Test with a known working footswitch if available. |
