4. Configuración

4.1 Montaxe da barra guía e da cadea de serra

  1. Ensure the engine is off and the spark plug cap is disconnected.
  2. Remove the chain cover nuts and chain cover.
  3. Place the saw chain around the clutch drum and guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges face forward on the top of the guide bar.
  4. Mount the guide bar onto the studs, aligning the chain tensioner pin with the hole in the guide bar.
  5. Replace the chain cover and loosely tighten the nuts.
  6. Adjust chain tension using the tensioning screw. The chain should be snug against the guide bar but still able to be pulled freely by hand.

4.2 Abastecemento

The ECHO GC351 uses a 2-stroke engine. It requires a specific mixture of gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil.

5.1 Arranque do motor

Cold Start (First start of the day or after a long period of inactivity):

  3. Establece o engine stop switch á posición ON.
  4. Tira o palanca de estrangulamento to the FULL CHOKE position.
  5. If equipped, press the bulbo de imprimación several times until fuel is visible.
  6. Hold the front handle firmly with one hand and pull the starter grip briskly until the engine fires (usually a few pulls).
  7. Once the engine fires, immediately push the palanca de estrangulamento to the HALF CHOKE or RUN position.
  8. Tira o starter grip again until the engine starts and runs smoothly.
  9. Briefly blip the gatillo do acelerador to disengage the half-choke.

Warm Start (Engine is already warm from recent use):
