Produto rematadoview
The microSHIFT XCD Clutch Rear Derailleur is engineered for 11-speed mountain bike drivetrains, offering compatibility with Shimano mountain shifters and a wide range of cassettes. Its robust CNC-machined aluminum construction ensures durability and precise shifting performance. A key feature is the integrated clutch mechanism, which can be engaged to maintain optimal chain tension, reducing chain slap and improving chain retention over rough terrain. This mechanism can also be disengaged for easier wheel removal and installation.

Configuración e instalación
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety. If you are unsure about any step, consult a professional bicycle mechanic.
- Prepare the Derailleur Hanger: Ensure your bike's derailleur hanger is straight and free from damage. A bent hanger can cause poor shifting.
- Mount the Derailleur: Thread the derailleur onto the derailleur hanger. Tighten the mounting bolt to the manufacturer's specified torque (typically 8-10 Nm).
- Instalar a cadea: Route the chain through the derailleur's cage and over the cassette. Ensure the chain length is correct for your drivetrain setup.
- Route the Shift Cable: Guide the shift cable from your shifter through the frame's cable guides and into the derailleur's cable anchor bolt. Pull the cable taut and secure it with the anchor bolt, ensuring not to overtighten.
- Adjust Limit Screws (H & L):
- High Limit (H): Shift the chain to the smallest cog. Adjust the 'H' screw so the upper pulley is directly aligned with the smallest cog. This prevents the chain from shifting off the cassette into the frame.
- Low Limit (L): Shift the chain to the largest cog. Adjust the 'L' screw so the upper pulley is directly aligned with the largest cog. This prevents the chain from shifting off the cassette into the spokes.
- Adjust B-Tension: With the chain on the largest cog and the largest chainring (if applicable), adjust the B-tension screw to set the gap between the upper derailleur pulley and the largest cog. Aim for a gap of 5-7mm for optimal shifting.
- Axuste fino da tensión do cable: Shift through all gears. If shifting is slow or hesitant, adjust the barrel adjuster on the shifter or derailleur. Turn clockwise to loosen tension (for downshifts) and counter-clockwise to tighten tension (for upshifts).

Instrucións de funcionamento
Cambio de marchas
The microSHIFT XCD derailleur operates in conjunction with your 11-speed mountain bike shifter. Use the shifter levers to move the chain across the cassette cogs. Always pedal forward while shifting to ensure smooth and precise gear changes.
Clutch Mechanism
The integrated clutch mechanism helps to stabilize the chain, reducing chain slap and improving chain retention, especially on rough terrain. The clutch can be toggled on or off using the switch located on the derailleur body.
- Clutch ON: Engage the clutch for riding on trails, downhill sections, or any terrain where chain stability is critical. This position provides maximum chain tension.
- Clutch OFF: Disengage the clutch when removing or installing the rear wheel, or for easier shifting if preferred on smoother terrain. This reduces chain tension, making it easier to manipulate the chain and wheel.
Mantemento
Regular maintenance extends the life of your derailleur and ensures consistent performance.
- Limpeza: After each ride, especially in dirty or wet conditions, clean the derailleur body and pulley wheels. Use a degreaser for stubborn grime, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Lubricación: Apply a small amount of bicycle-specific lubricant to the pivot points of the derailleur and the pulley wheel bearings periodically. Avoid over-lubricating, which can attract dirt.
- Comprobar o desgaste: Regularly inspect the pulley wheels for wear. Worn pulleys can lead to poor shifting. Replace them if the teeth appear sharp or hooked.
- Cable and Housing: Check the shift cable and housing for fraying, kinks, or contamination. Replace them if necessary to maintain smooth shifting.
- Derailleur Hanger Alignment: Periodically check and, if necessary, straighten your derailleur hanger. Even a slight bend can significantly impact shifting performance.
Resolución de problemas
| Problema | Causa posible | Solución |
|---|---|---|
| Slow or hesitant shifting | Incorrect cable tension, dirty cable/housing, bent derailleur hanger | Adjust barrel adjuster, clean/replace cable and housing, check/straighten hanger |
| Chain rubs on derailleur cage | Limit screws incorrectly set, bent derailleur hanger | Re-adjust H/L limit screws, check/straighten hanger |
| Chain drops off smallest/largest cog | Limit screws incorrectly set | Re-adjust H/L limit screws carefully |
| Excessive chain slap/noise | Clutch disengaged, worn clutch, incorrect chain length | Ensure clutch is ON, inspect clutch mechanism, verify chain length |
