3. Configuración e instalación

Proper installation ensures optimal performance and longevity of your carbon filter.

3.1 Preparing the Filter

1. Unpack the carbon filter and all included accessories.
2. Ensure the pre-filter cloth is securely wrapped around the carbon filter. This prevents larger dust particles from clogging the charcoal bed.

3.2 Connecting to an Inline Duct Fan

The carbon filter can be used as either an intake or exhaust filter, depending on your ventilation system's requirements. Its aluminum flanges are reversible for flexible installation.

1. Connect one end of the carbon filter to your inline duct fan using appropriate ducting and clamps (not included). Ensure a tight seal to prevent air leaks.
2. The filter can be positioned before the fan (intake) to filter incoming air or after the fan (exhaust) to filter outgoing air.

3.3 Hanging the Filter

Use the provided hanging straps and rope clip hangers to suspend the filter securely within your grow tent or ventilation area.

1. Attach the hanging straps to the designated points on the filter.
2. Use the rope clip hangers to suspend the filter from a sturdy support structure. Ensure the filter is level and stable.

4. Instrucións de funcionamento

Once installed, the carbon filter operates passively in conjunction with your inline duct fan. Ensure your fan is running to draw air through the filter.

• Fluxo de aire: The filter is designed for high airflow, allowing your inline fan to operate efficiently while scrubbing the air.
• Control de cheiros: The activated charcoal will continuously adsorb odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the air passing through it.
• Pre-Filter Function: The outer pre-filter protects the charcoal bed from dust and debris, maintaining the filter's effectiveness.

The included pre-filter cloths are machine-washable. Clean them periodically to prevent dust buildup, which can restrict airflow and reduce the carbon filter's performance.

1. Carefully remove the pre-filter cloth from the carbon filter.
2. Wash the pre-filter cloth in a washing machine with mild detergent or hand wash it.
3. Allow the pre-filter to air dry completely before reattaching it to the carbon filter.

5.2 Carbon Filter Replacement

The lifespan of the activated charcoal depends on usage and air quality. When you notice a decrease in odor control effectiveness, it is time to replace the carbon filter. AC Infinity recommends replacing the filter every 1-2 years under normal operating conditions, or sooner if strong odors persist.
