5. Guía de instalación

This section outlines the general procedure for installing or replacing a double cylinder lock. Specific door types and existing hardware may require slight variations.

1. Prepara a porta: Ensure the door is open and the existing cylinder (if any) is removed. Most cylinders are held in place by a single screw on the door's edge plate.
2. Measure the Cylinder: The D6PSN 35/45 BKN cylinder has dimensions of 35mm on one side and 45mm on the other, measured from the center of the fixing screw hole to each end. Ensure these dimensions match your door's requirements.

6. Funcionamento

To operate the Abus D6PSN double cylinder lock:

• Insert one of the provided reversible keys into the keyway on either side of the cylinder.
• Turn the key clockwise or counter-clockwise to engage or disengage the lock mechanism.
• Remove the key once the door is secured or unlocked.

Nota importante:

This double cylinder lock is designed such that a key inserted on one side will prevent a key from being turned on the other side. If a key is left in the inside of the lock, it will not be possible to operate the lock from the outside with another key. This is a common characteristic of standard double cylinder locks and not a defect.
