  3. Install the longitudinal stop and miter gauge as per the diagrams in the quick start guide (not included in this manual).

3.3 Instalación da folla de serra

  1. Asegúrate de que a máquina estea desconectada da fonte de alimentación.
  2. Open the blade covers.
  3. Carefully place the new blade around the upper and lower wheels, ensuring the teeth are pointing downwards towards the table.
  4. Adjust the blade guides so they are close to, but not touching, the blade.

3.4 Adjusting Blade Tension

Proper blade tension is crucial for accurate cuts and blade longevity. Use the tension knob located at the top of the machine to adjust the tension. The blade should be taut but not overly tight. Refer to the markings on the tension indicator for optimal settings.

4. Instrucións de funcionamento

4.1 Antes da operación

4.2 Técnicas básicas de corte

  1. Comezando o corte: Turn on the band saw and allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning the cut.
  2. Material de alimentación: Feed the workpiece slowly and steadily into the blade. Do not force the material. Maintain firm control of the workpiece with both hands, keeping fingers away from the blade.
  3. Cortes rectos: Use the longitudinal stop for accurate straight cuts. Adjust the stop to the desired width and secure it firmly.
  4. Cortes curvos: For curved cuts, guide the material slowly, allowing the blade to follow the desired curve. Avoid sharp turns that could bind or break the blade.
  5. Stopping the Cut: Once the cut is complete, turn off the machine and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop before removing the workpiece or making any adjustments.

4.3 Adjusting the Table Angle

The work table can be tilted from 0° to 45° for bevel cuts. Loosen the locking knob beneath the table, adjust to the desired angle using the angle scale, and then securely tighten the knob.

4.4 Using the Longitudinal Stop

The longitudinal stop (rip fence) is used for making consistent straight cuts. Position the stop parallel to the blade at the desired cutting width. Use the quick-release lever to lock it in place. Always ensure the stop is firmly secured before starting a cut.

5. Mantemento

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your band saw. Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Limpeza

5.2 Substitución da folla

Replace the blade when it becomes dull, damaged, or if you need a different tooth configuration for a specific task. Follow the steps in Section 3.3 for installation.

5.3 Almacenamento

Store the band saw in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure it is unplugged and all adjustments are secured before storage.
