1. Introdución

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Montech AIR 903 MAX E-ATX Mid Tower Case. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning assembly to ensure proper setup and optimal performance.

2. Configuración e instalación

Follow these steps to properly set up your Montech AIR 903 MAX case and install your components.

2.1 Desembalaxe e preparación

Carefully remove the case from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during transit. Ensure all accessories listed in the packing list are present. These typically include screws, cable ties, and additional standoffs.

2.2 Side Panel Removal

To access the interior, remove the tempered glass side panel and the solid steel side panel. The tempered glass panel is typically secured with captive thumbscrews at the rear. The steel panel slides off after removing its thumbscrews.

2.3 Instalación da placa base

1. Identify the correct standoff positions for your motherboard (E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX). The case supports E-ATX motherboards.
2. Install any necessary additional standoffs. Ensure all standoffs align with your motherboard's mounting holes.
3. Carefully place your motherboard onto the standoffs, aligning the I/O shield with the rear opening.
4. Fixa a placa base cos parafusos fornecidos. Non os apertes demasiado.

2.4 Instalación da Unidade de Alimentación (PSU).

1. Mount your PSU into the dedicated compartment at the bottom rear of the case.
2. Fixe a fonte de alimentación con parafusos na parte traseira da caixa.
3. Route necessary power cables through the cutouts in the PSU shroud and motherboard tray.

2.5 Instalación do dispositivo de almacenamento

The case supports multiple storage drives. Refer to the case's internal structure for specific 2.5" SSD and 3.5" HDD mounting locations, typically behind the motherboard tray or within the PSU shroud.

2.6 Instalación da tarxeta gráfica (GPU)

3. Secure the graphics card with screws. The case accommodates GPUs up to 400mm in length and 190mm in width.

The Montech AIR 903 MAX comes with pre-installed 140mm ARGB PWM fans (3x front, 1x rear). Additional fans or radiators can be installed:

• Fronte: Supports up to 360mm AIO liquid coolers.
• Arriba: Supports up to 360mm AIO liquid coolers.

2.8 Xestión de cables

Utilize the cable routing channels and included velcro cable ties behind the motherboard tray to organize your cables. The integrated fan hub simplifies fan connections, requiring only a SATA power connection from your PSU and an ARGB header connection to your motherboard for full control.

2.9 Front I/O Connections

Conecta os cables do panel frontal á placa base:

• USB 3.0: Connect the USB 3.0 header cable to your motherboard's USB 3.0 port.
• USB tipo C: Connect the USB Type-C header cable to your motherboard's Type-C port (if available).
• Son de alta definición: Connect the HD Audio cable to your motherboard's audio header.
• Power SW, Reset SW, HDD LED: Connect these small pinouts to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
• Cabeceira ARGB: Connect the ARGB cable from the fan hub to your motherboard's 5V ARGB header for software control. If left unplugged, the case's dedicated RGB button will control lighting.

3. Funcionamento

3.1 Acendido

After all components are installed and cables are connected, ensure your power supply is switched on. Press the power button on the top I/O panel to start your system.

3.2 Fan and RGB Control

• PWM Fans: The pre-installed PWM fans are connected to a fan hub. Connect the fan hub to a PWM header on your motherboard to control fan speeds via BIOS or motherboard software.
• Iluminación ARGB: The ARGB fans can be controlled in two ways:
  1. Motherboard Software Control: Connect the ARGB cable from the fan hub to your motherboard's 5V ARGB header. Use your motherboard's RGB software to customize lighting effects.
  2. Control do botón da caixa: If the ARGB cable is not connected to the motherboard, use the dedicated RGB button on the top I/O panel to cycle through pre-set lighting modes. Press and hold the RGB button for 3 seconds to switch between software control and case button control (if connected to motherboard).

4. Mantemento

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal airflow and extends the lifespan of your components.

4.1 Limpeza do filtro de po

• Front Mesh Panel: The front mesh panel acts as a dust filter and can be easily removed for cleaning. Gently pull the bottom of the front panel to detach it. Clean with compressed air or a soft brush.
• Top Magnetic Filter: The top dust filter is magnetic and can be lifted off for cleaning.
• Bottom PSU Filter: The filter beneath the PSU can be slid out from the rear for cleaning.

4.2 Limpeza xeral

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior of the case. For tempered glass, use a glass cleaner applied to a cloth (not directly to the glass) to avoid streaks.

5 Solución de problemas

If you encounter issues with your Montech AIR 903 MAX case, consider the following common solutions:

• O sistema non se acende:
  • Asegúrate de que a fonte de alimentación estea acendida e conectada correctamente á toma de corrente.
  • Verify that the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's power header.
  • Comprobe todas as conexións de alimentación da placa base e dos compoñentes.
• Os ventiladores non xiran/O RGB non funciona:
  • Ensure the fan hub is receiving SATA power from the PSU.
  • If using motherboard software control, verify the ARGB cable from the hub is connected to a 5V ARGB header and the software is correctly configured.
  • If using the case button, ensure the ARGB cable is not connected to the motherboard, or press and hold the RGB button for 3 seconds to switch control modes.
  • Check individual fan connections to the fan hub.
• Portos USB non funcionan:
  • Verify that the front panel USB 3.0 and USB Type-C cables are securely connected to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
• Tight Cable Management:
  • The space behind the motherboard tray is designed for efficient cable routing. Take time to bundle and route cables carefully using the provided velcro ties.
