1. Introdución

This manual provides essential information for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Yamaha MONTAGE M6 61-Key Synthesizer. The MONTAGE M6 is a flagship music synthesizer designed for advanced sound exploration and expressive control, featuring FSX action with aftertouch. It incorporates three sound engines: AN-X for analog synthesis, FM-X for frequency modulation synthesis, and AWM2 for ultra-realistic instrument sounds. 2. Configuración

2.1 Desembalaxe e inspección

Carefully remove the MONTAGE M6 from its packaging. Retain all packing materials for future transport or storage. Inspect the instrument for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is found, contact your dealer immediately.

2.2 Conexión de enerxía

Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN jack on the rear panel of the MONTAGE M6 and then to a suitable AC outlet. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting. The power switch is located on the rear panel.

O MONTAGE M6 features multiple audio output options. For stereo output, connect the L/MONO and R OUTPUT jacks to your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface using 6.35mm (1/4-inch) TS or TRS cables. For headphone monitoring, connect headphones to the PHONES jack.

For MIDI communication with external devices, use the MIDI IN/OUT/THRU ports. After all connections are made, switch the power ON. The instrument will boot up, and the main display will show the default performance or home screen. Adjust the MASTER VOLUME knob to a low level before playing.
