1. Introdución

The Laurastar S Pure Xtra is an all-in-one professional steam ironing system designed to rejuvenate and enhance your clothes effortlessly. It combines advanced features such as a 3D iron, an active board with vacuum and fan system, and hygienic Dry Microfine Steam (DMS) to deliver impeccable results and thoroughly freshen textiles.

2. Configuración

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all listed parts are present: the ironing board, iron, removable water tank, ironing board cover, steam cord holder, heat resistant iron mat, protective sole plate, and drain pan. The Laurastar S Pure Xtra uses regular tap water. For areas with well water or if a water softener is used, bottled spring water is recommended to ensure proper mineral content for steam generation. The system utilizes granules to filter the water. Fresh granules are charcoal blue and will turn golden brown/amber when exhausted, indicating it's time for replacement.

2.3 Board Height Adjustment

Adjust the ironing board to a comfortable working height. The board can be raised to its highest position for optimal ergonomic use.

3.1 Powering On and Heat-Up

Connect the system to a power outlet. The water tank takes approximately 7 to 8 minutes to heat up and produce steam, and for the iron to be ready for use. The steam indicator light will signal when the system is ready.

3.2 Dry Microfine Steam (DMS) Control

The Laurastar S Pure Xtra features powerful Dry Microfine Steam (DMS). This steam is twice-heated, making it more like a gas than traditional steam, which prevents spitting or dripping on fabrics and reduces the risk of burns. Steam can be controlled using the buttons on either the right or left side of the iron's handle.

3.3 Active Board System (Blower & Vacuum)

The ironing board has an integrated fan system that provides both blower and vacuum functions. Pressing the steam controls also activates these functions. The blower creates a cushion of air, preventing additional wrinkles while ironing delicate fabrics. The vacuum function holds fabric in place, cools and dries it, sets seams, and pulls heat away from your fingers for precise control.

3.4 Iron Features and Soleplate

The 3D soleplate is designed to deliver a full curtain of steam, quickly removing wrinkles. The iron also features a temperature adjustment. For delicate fabrics or materials like vinyl or cork, a Teflon non-stick protective soleplate is included with all Laurastar irons. This accessory reduces the plate temperature by 100 degrees, ensuring safe ironing for heat-sensitive items.

3.5 Steam Cord Holder

The integrated steam cord holder manages the iron's cord, keeping it out of the way during ironing. This ensures fluid movement across the board without cord interference.

4.1 Granule Replacement

The water tank contains granules that filter the water. These granules are initially charcoal blue and change to a golden brown/amber color when they are exhausted. Replace the granules when no charcoal color remains. To replace, empty the old granules into the trash, rinse the tank, and pour in new granules. Granules typically need changing every 3 to 6 months, depending on usage.

4.2 Descaling/Flushing the System

To prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance, it is important to flush the system regularly. It is recommended to perform this procedure once a month. Place the drain tray (included) under the boiler, remove the cap to drain the water, and also remove the water tank. Use the water tank lid as a funnel to pour fresh water through the system, allowing it to drain into the tray. Once the water has fully drained, replace the caps and the water tank.

5. Almacenamento

The Laurastar S Pure Xtra is designed for easy storage. Raise the board to its highest position. Store the iron in its convenient storage box located on the side of the unit and close the box. Remove the steam cord holder and lay it horizontally. Then, easily tilt the entire board forward to collapse it, allowing it to be wheeled away for compact storage.

If the system is not producing steam, check the water indicator light to ensure the tank is not low. Verify that the system has had sufficient time to heat up (7-8 minutes).
