1. Place a drain pan beneath the engine oil filter.
2. Using an oil filter wrench, loosen and remove the old engine oil filter.
3. Clean the mounting surface on the engine.
4. Apply a thin coat of new engine oil to the gasket of the new filter (AM107423).
5. Screw on the new filter by hand until the gasket makes contact, then tighten an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Do not overtighten.
6. Check for leaks after starting the engine.

3. In-Line Fuel Filter Replacement (AM116304)

1. Locate the in-line fuel filter, typically between the fuel tank and the carburetor/fuel pump.

3. Use a spark plug socket wrench to loosen and remove the old spark plugs.
4. Inspect the old spark plugs for signs of wear or fouling.
5. Gap the new spark plugs (M802138) to the specification found in your mower's manual (if required).
6. Thread the new spark plugs into the cylinder head by hand to prevent cross-threading.
7. Tighten with a wrench to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification.
8. Reconnect the spark plug wires, ensuring they click into place.
