3. Configuración e instalación

3.1. Antes de comezar

• Ensure your bicycle is compatible with a 10-50t or 10-52t cassette.
• Gather necessary tools, including hex wrenches and a torque wrench.
• Charge the AXS battery fully before installation.

3.2. Pasos da instalación

3.2.1. Rear Derailleur Installation

1. Remove your existing rear derailleur.
2. Mount the GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur to the derailleur hanger. Ensure proper alignment.
3. Secure the derailleur bolt to the manufacturer's specified torque.

3.2.2. Controller Installation

1. Attach the AXS controller to your handlebar using the provided clamp.
2. Position the controller for comfortable access to the shift paddles.
3. Apretar o clamp bolt to the specified torque.

3.2.3. Instalación e carga da batería

1. Slide the charged AXS battery into the rear derailleur until it clicks securely into place.
2. To charge, remove the battery and connect it to the AXS charger using the USB cord. A green light indicates a full charge.

3.2.4. Pairing AXS Components

1. Press and hold the AXS button on the derailleur until the LED flashes green.
2. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the AXS button on the controller until its LED also flashes green.
3. The components are paired when the LEDs stop flashing and turn off.

3.2.5. Chain Gap Adjustment

1. Shift the chain to the second smallest cog on the cassette.
2. Place the provided chain gap tool between the upper pulley and the largest cog.
3. Adjust the B-limit screw on the derailleur until the upper pulley is aligned with the tool.
4. Remove the tool and check shifting across all gears.

4. Funcionamento

4.1. Cambio de marchas

The AXS controller features ergonomic touchpoints for intuitive shifting. By default, one paddle shifts to a harder gear, and the other shifts to an easier gear. The specific function of each button can be customized via the SRAM AXS App.

4.2. AXS App Integration

The SRAM AXS App (available for iOS and Android) allows you to:

• Customize button functions on the controller.
• Monitor battery levels of all AXS components.
• Perform micro-adjustments to shifting.
• Update firmware for improved performance and new features.

4.3. Overload Clutch Feature

The GX Eagle AXS rear derailleur is equipped with an Overload Clutch. In the event of an impact, the clutch disengages the motor gearbox, allowing the derailleur to move inward and protect itself from damage. It automatically re-engages after the impact, returning to its original position.

• Regularly clean the derailleur and controller with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electronic components.
