3. Características clave

3.1 Advanced Power Switch

The D6100 features a physical ON/OFF switch located at the base of the handle. This allows for precise control over the scanner's power state, conserving energy and extending battery life by preventing accidental activations. Simply turn the switch to 'ON' and press the scan button to begin, then switch to 'OFF' when not in use.

3.2 Battery Level Indicator & Replaceable Battery

The Tera D6100 is equipped with a high-capacity 2200mAh battery and a built-in LED indicator that provides real-time updates on the remaining charge (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%). This allows for efficient usage planning and minimizes unexpected downtime. The battery is also user-replaceable, allowing for quick swaps in under a minute to ensure continuous operation.

3.3 Superior Global CMOS Imaging Scanning

The D6100 excels in fast and accurate reading of both ordinary and high-density barcodes, including challenging formats like PDF417. It can handle various scanning scenarios, such as underwater scanning, and reading barcodes on silver paper or reflective materials.

3.4 3-in-1 Connectivity

The scanner offers flexible connectivity options: Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless (via USB dongle), and USB wired. It connects easily to smartphones, computers, and tablets, and is compatible with Windows 11/10/8/7/XP, Mac OS, iOS, Android, and Linux.

3.5 Wall-Mountable Stand

The included stand provides a stable base for hands-free scanning and can also be wall-mounted for versatile, multi-angle scanning. The base includes a storage compartment for small parts.

4. Configuración e instalación

4.1 Montaxe do soporte

Follow these steps to assemble the wall-mountable stand:

1. Open the base cover and remove the flexible rod and screws.
2. Insert the flexible rod into the base and secure it with the provided screw.
3. Attach the scanner holder to the top of the flexible rod and secure it with the remaining screw.

4.2 Conexión do escáner

The D6100 offers three connection methods:

• Modo sen fíos 2.4G: Insert the USB dongle into your computer's USB port. The scanner will automatically pair.
• Modo Bluetooth: Turn on Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, computer) and search for "Tera D6100". Select to pair.
• Modo con cable USB: Conecta o escáner directamente ao teu ordenador usando o cable USB fornecido. O escáner funcionará como un dispositivo plug-and-play.

5. Funcionamento

5.1 Modos de dixitalización

The scanner supports various scanning modes:

• Modo de disparo manual: Press the scan button to activate the laser and read a barcode.
• Modo de exploración continua: The scanner continuously emits the laser, reading any barcode placed in its path. This mode is ideal for high-volume scanning.
• Sensor-Activated Mode: The scanner activates the laser only when it detects a barcode in its field of view.

5.2 Volume and Vibration Settings

You can adjust the scanner's feedback settings:

• Volume: Adjust the beep volume (Off, Low, Medium, High) by scanning specific configuration barcodes in the user manual.
• Vibración: Enable or disable haptic feedback (vibration) for scan confirmation.

5.3 Modos de subida de datos

• Modo de carga instantánea: Data is transmitted immediately after each successful scan.
• Modo de almacenamento: Scanned data is stored in the scanner's internal memory and can be uploaded later as a batch.

5.4 Prefix and Suffix Settings

You can configure the scanner to add custom prefixes or suffixes to scanned data. This is useful for data organization and integration with various software systems. Refer to the user manual for specific barcodes to enable and configure these settings.

7. Mantemento

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Tera D6100 barcode scanner, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Limpeza: Use un pano suave e sen pelusa lixeiramente dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner to wipe the scanner's exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Coidado das lentes: Keep the scanning window clean and free of dust or smudges. Use a lens cleaning cloth or compressed air to remove debris.
• Almacenamento: Garde o escáner nun lugar fresco e seco, lonxe da luz solar directa e de temperaturas extremas.
• Coidado da batería: Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. For long-term storage, ensure the battery is charged to about 50%.
