4. Guía de configuración

4.1. Landing Gear Installation

The detachable wire landing gear can be easily installed by inserting the wire ends into the designated slots on the underside of the fuselage. Ensure they are firmly seated.

4.2. Conexión da batería

Connect the aircraft battery to the flight controller. Ensure the connection is secure. The aircraft is ready for flight once the battery is connected and the throttle is quickly pushed to the highest position and then pulled back to the lowest position, followed by a "beepbeep" sound.

4.3. Configuración do transmisor

Insert 4 AA batteries into the 2.4GHz F06 transmitter. The transmitter features trim switches and control sticks. A switch on the top left allows selection of flight modes.

5. Instrucións de funcionamento

5.1. Modos de voo

The Fms PA-18 Super Cub offers three distinct flight modes, selectable via a switch on the transmitter:

  • Beginner Mode (Full-Stabilizing): Provides maximum gyro assistance for stable and easy flight, ideal for first-time pilots.
  • Intermediate Mode (Optimized Stabilization): Offers reduced gyro assistance, allowing for more agile maneuvers while maintaining a degree of stability.
  • Expert Mode (Manual Control): Disables gyro assistance, providing full manual control for advanced aerobatics and experienced pilots.

5.2. Retorno cunha soa tecla

The aircraft features a one-key return function. When activated, the plane will automatically turn around and fly back towards its takeoff point. Ensure the aircraft is at least 20m above the ground for optimal performance of this feature.

5.3. Controis básicos de voo

Use the left stick for throttle (power) and rudder (yaw). Use the right stick for elevator (pitch) and ailerons (roll). Practice gentle inputs, especially in beginner mode, to familiarize yourself with the aircraft's response.

6. Mantemento

6.1. EPP Foam Durability

The Fms PA-18 Super Cub is constructed from durable EPP foam, designed to withstand minor impacts. In case of damage, EPP foam can often be repaired using foam-safe glue.

6.2. Protección da hélice

The aircraft features a propeller guard design where the propeller is designed to pop off during impacts, protecting the motor and propeller from damage. Always ensure the propeller is securely reattached before flight.

6.3. Coidado da batería

Always use the provided USB-C charger for the rechargeable battery. Do not overcharge or completely discharge the battery. Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
