Connecting the R terminal activates a 3-minute delay. If your blower control board in the air handler has an additional delay, you can disable the QwikSwap delay by installing the jumper on the two-pin header next to the R terminal.
Insert the valve core depressor into the vapor service valve while the system is operating. Allow the vapor to flow for 2 seconds. If the indicator paper changes color to pink or red, acid is present.
